Student answer (Band 6.0)
Globe-trotting is amongest the highly ermerging industries which also has a great influence to the economy, worldwide. But, i also agree with the notion that it can cause disturbance to local cultures and the environment, which is often overlooked. I will explain my opinion further in the essay below.
Touristry on one hand, is contributing too much in the financial systems of the countries. People around the world enjoys travelling to different countries to explore it, which brings the flourishment in many businesses to that countries. For example, countries like Spain and Thailand have a great revenue of business due to tourism. But with pros of tourism, there comes some drawbacks too. Influence of outsiders on the local culture is causing a biggest impact on the local people. The commodification of cultures due to tourists and often local cultures are replaced by them.
On the other hand, impact of environment is also severe. Many of the attracted and peaceful sites are often destroyed by overcrowding. For example, beaches in Karachi are no longer have thier beauty as they are now replced by clutter areas. Over travelling brings pollution to envirenment as well. All these situations are being overlook and unadressed bu the government and local businesses and proper policies are required to maintain the rush and spark of tourism efficiently.
To conclude, i think tourism can be highly beneficial and economically sutsinable if handled with proper measurements, such as limiting the number of tourists and keeping the area true to the nature. That is how it can benefit the economy of the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position on the economic benefits versus the cultural and environmental drawbacks of tourism. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of Spain and Thailand for economic growth and the impact on local culture and sites like Karachi's beaches. However, the development is somewhat limited; the points are introduced but not fully explored with depth or nuance. For instance, the discussion on 'commodification of cultures' is brief and lacks specific examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations or concrete evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a progression of ideas from economic benefits to negative impacts. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Touristry on one hand' and 'But with pros of tourism, there comes some drawbacks too.' Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as the phrase 'replaced by them' in the second paragraph, which does not clearly refer back to the intended noun. Improving the variety and natural flow of transition words would enhance the coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. There are several instances of non-standard word choices or awkward collocations, such as 'amongest the highly ermerging industries,' 'flourishment,' and 'clutter areas.' Some spelling errors, such as 'sutsinable' and 'envirenment,' are present. While the meaning is generally clear, the vocabulary is not sufficiently precise or varied to demonstrate a higher level of lexical control. Focusing on accurate word forms and more academic collocations would significantly improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('People... enjoys,' 'beaches... are no longer have'), incorrect preposition usage ('influence to the economy'), and punctuation errors. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly verb tenses and article usage, and ensure that complex sentences are constructed correctly.
