Student answer (Band 6.0)
Tourism has become an integral part of the rising debate in the present world because of its rapid growth. It prosper the country’s economy. However, opponents believe that it is a danger to local cultures and sometimes the environment is also ignored. In my opinion, tourism growth has more positive impacts than negatives in the globe.
To commence with, there are numerous arguments in the favour of my viewpoint. One of the most significant is that tourism gives us a chance to explore different cultures and learn about their basic norms and values. For instance, visiting the other cultures changes our mindset towards different situations. In this modern world, technology has made individuals life complicated they are spending more time on certain platforms and are getting introvert. By travelling different countries they can talk to the local community of that area, through this their communication skills can be enhanced. Furthermore, it is helpful to the economy of the certain country that provides tourism.
On the other hand, critics may point out that one of the major disadvantage of this is that the tourists are damaging the local cultures. This may be true at some extent but mostly the tourists respect their social values. For instance, countries should provide each group of tourists with the guide in order to protect the local cultures. One more disadvantage they narrate is that the environment is ignored. I strongly believe that the countries providing tourism are taking a handsome amount of money from the tourists. In order to avoid these environmental issues they could use that money to make the environment eco-friendly.
To conclude, even when there are demerits associated with tourism, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. To my perspective, tourism provides positive impacts personally as well as globally.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You acknowledge both sides of the argument before concluding that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about technology making people 'introvert' is a bit tangential to the core topic of tourism's impact on culture and environment. To improve, you should provide more specific, concrete examples of how tourism damages or preserves culture, rather than relying on general statements. The argument regarding environmental funding is a good start but could be expanded with a specific example of a country that successfully manages its tourism revenue for conservation.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'On the other hand' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing. For example, in the phrase 'the certain country', the use of the definite article is awkward and disrupts the flow. Additionally, the connection between the idea of technology and tourism could be smoother. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, and the paragraphing is appropriate for an academic essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'integral', 'prosper', and 'eco-friendly'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation that prevent a higher score. For example, 'It prosper the country’s economy' should be 'It prospers the country’s economy' or 'It boosts the economy'. The phrase 'at some extent' is incorrect; it should be 'to some extent'. Additionally, 'getting introvert' is not standard usage; 'becoming introverted' would be more natural. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary would help elevate your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Subject-verb agreement is an issue, such as 'It prosper' instead of 'It prospers'. There are also errors with articles and prepositions, such as 'visiting the other cultures' (should be 'visiting other cultures') and 'in the favour of' (should be 'in favour of'). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
