Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the prompt but fails to develop a coherent argument. While you state that you 'strongly agree' with the statement, the supporting ideas are fragmented and lack logical development. The examples provided, such as the reference to Saudi Arabian tourists in Pakistan, are unclear and do not effectively illustrate the negative impacts of tourism on culture or the environment. The essay lacks a clear structure to support your position, and the arguments remain repetitive and underdeveloped throughout the text. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-explained point that directly relates to the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a logical flow. While there are paragraph breaks, the internal structure of these paragraphs is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly, such as the repetitive use of phrases like 'the damage tourism can cause' without connecting them to new information. The introduction is particularly confusing due to the repetition of the prompt's language, which hinders the progression of ideas. Using transition words like 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' or 'in contrast' would help create a more professional and readable structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying heavily on copying phrases directly from the prompt (e.g., 'fastest growing industries,' 'contributes a great deal to economies'). There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'go to the touring' and 'meat the tourism people,' which make the meaning unclear. You need to expand your range of vocabulary by learning topic-specific collocations related to tourism and environmental impact. Focusing on using words in their correct grammatical context will significantly improve your ability to express complex ideas clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are significant issues with sentence structure, including run-on sentences and fragments. For example, 'In recent years, tourism is one of the fastest growing industries and contributes a great deal to economies around the world' contains tense inconsistencies. Additionally, there are many errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage (e.g., 'it is a big damage touring can cause'). The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences that are often incorrectly constructed. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement is essential.
