Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, Travelling is become easy between multiple country due to airlines, trains any many other options which makes tourism is one of growing industries and make money from it. So i am agree that tourism plays role in economies for sure but it leading a destruction of culture and specially environment.
Travelling is popular in younger generation compare to older age population. They want to explore hidden gems places which are not popular. Now hidden places are not seems to consider as hidden or new for their local populations as they are living there for longer time . they find those place as regular , but when travellers comes to this kind of place , they harm nature unintentionally . Last year, when i trek to deo-tibba one of mountain to trek near Manali, our guide ask not to go under one bridge which was made by snow falls. Other members from group heard a story that , there is some unexpected and grate things are happening in night when they cross that bridge. Now members from my groups want to explore that even guide mention that it is riskly. they didn't take guide's advice and went for that. On second day, we heard that those members were died and they accidently ruins the bridge which suppose to use for their local community to get some food from down side area. now they are having too much difficulties to get their basic necessities due to this.
Smaller country where no industrial growth can be happen in near future, but they have very good places either historical or nature. For those kind of country, tourism is one of best options to run their economy. By tourism , their local get different jobs such as driver, cook, guide, etc. At same time , there is opportunitites on business such as Hotels and Restaurants.
Overall, one country can be survive on tourism if they have many places which attracts tourists. but They have to encourage them to explore local culture at same time maintain those places. as tourism become nightmare if they ruined it places or divert their local to undesirable cultures

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by acknowledging both the economic benefits and the negative impacts of tourism. However, the development of ideas is uneven. The personal anecdote about the trekking incident is overly long and lacks a clear connection to the broader argument about environmental or cultural damage. The third paragraph regarding smaller countries is more relevant but remains somewhat superficial. While a position is established, the supporting arguments lack the depth and academic tone required for a higher band. The conclusion is a bit disjointed, and the overall argument could be more effectively structured to balance the two sides of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between and within them is often disjointed. Cohesive devices are used, but they are frequently mechanical or misused, such as 'So i am agree' or 'At same time'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the narrative shifts abruptly. The progression of ideas is not always logical, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument's development. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary cohesion to guide the reader smoothly through the points being made.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'make money from it', 'younger generation compare to older age population', and 'ruined it places'. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'economies' and 'industrial growth', but these are often surrounded by basic or inaccurate phrasing. The lack of precision in word choice occasionally hinders the clarity of the message. To improve, the student should focus on learning collocations and more sophisticated academic vocabulary rather than relying on simple, conversational language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('Travelling is become', 'tourism is one of growing industries'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, and punctuation is often incorrect. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are frequently faulty, leading to confusion. The control over basic grammar is inconsistent, and the errors are frequent enough to cause some difficulty for the reader. A focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors is essential.
