Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, tourism is faster growing industry which is contributes to the economy of the nations around the world. But tourism industry is impacting in bad way as well which is ignorance of local culture and environment of the places. I agree with the statement that tourism is growing in faster pace along with that causing natural disasters and damage to local culture but some laws must be introduced to save the nature.
On the one hand, people are travelling more in present as compare to older times which giving them a opportunity to know more about the different cultures to live there and feel the locality in person and can able to improve their mental health. For instance, study has been done on 1000 people of deferent age group and communities found inhabitants who travelling more are tend to see more happy and less chance of suffering from stress and anxiety as compare to other people who is not travelling. Furthermore, travelling allow to see the diversification of various countries and local communities.
On the other hand, local communities are suffering due to higher tourism at some places they feel the originality is loosing due to outside people. They are not maintaining the local people policies and overruling them which can cause dispute in the local people due to business demands. For example, in the past so many incident happened which showing tourist people damaged the heritage sites due to unusual activities. Moreover, unwanted deforestation is happening cause of higher demand and spoiling natural beauty and damaging the environment.
In conclusion, increase in tourism is good for the growth of nation and local people giving them work areas to grow. However, governments has to apply laws on this tourism related activities to save natural beauty and culture.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that acknowledges both the benefits and the negative impacts of tourism. The ideas are relevant, such as the mental health benefits of travel and the environmental degradation caused by over-tourism. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding the study of 1000 people is vague and lacks specific context, and the argument about local policies is slightly underdeveloped. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, real-world examples rather than generalized claims. The conclusion effectively summarizes your position and offers a suggestion for government intervention, which aligns well with the prompt's requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. There is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as in the second paragraph where the transition between the study example and the diversification point is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'heritage sites', 'deforestation', and 'diversification'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'faster growing industry which is contributes', 'feel the locality', and 'originality is loosing'. These errors occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form. Expanding your range of vocabulary to include more precise academic terms would also help in achieving a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('tourism is... which is contributes'), incorrect verb forms ('who travelling more are tend to see'), and missing articles or prepositions. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent and affect the fluency of the writing. To improve, you should focus on basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs agree with their subjects and that tense usage is consistent. Practicing the correct use of relative clauses and articles will also help reduce the frequency of these errors.
