Student answer (Band 5.5)
Despite of increase in tourism and growth of country it has flaws which come with it, that effects the citizen life, culture, and environment . In this essay I would give a wider image and justify reasons why I do disagree partially with this statement.
As every culture is not same and people who are tourist like to know about the culture and become part of. For example when we visit any places like Nepal, Tibet, China, and many more. We often tend to learn recipes and habits they perform. The positive part is that we learn and some times we try to mimic the recipes with our own. When visiting city like Dubai we tend to learn the basic things how important is to maintain cleanness. Which shapes the mind to maintain similar environment.
However, when we visiting and learning new thing we tend to change the things according to our taste. Which might not be loved by all the culture as, somethings have deeper meaning of what we know. Moreover, when visiting zoo we carry food with us and throw the plastic waste in. Which leads to poor health of animal when they come in contact wo such things.
In conclusion, while comparing both the views it much more viable to adapt to new thing instead of changing. If the individual stays careful and wise and follows the instruction of particular area, will lead to no problems and would become a part of culture or any society without hurting the sentiments of any.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt but lacks depth in its development. While you state a position, the arguments regarding cultural exchange and environmental damage are somewhat superficial and lack specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the mention of visiting Nepal or Dubai is vague and does not clearly connect to the core issue of 'damage' caused by tourism. The essay tends to over-generalize, and the conclusion does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a clear, distinct point supported by a concrete example that directly relates to the negative impacts mentioned in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between ideas is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'Moreover', they are sometimes used incorrectly or lead to abrupt transitions. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between visiting Dubai and 'maintaining cleanness' is not explicitly linked to the prompt's theme of tourism's impact. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs needs to be more cohesive to guide the reader through your argument more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'Despite of increase' (should be 'Despite the increase') and 'mimic the recipes'. You rely on basic vocabulary, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic language. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and improving your control over collocations, ensuring that words are used in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('it has flaws... that effects the citizen life'), missing articles, and sentence fragments ('Which shapes the mind...'). The range of structures is limited, with a reliance on simple or incorrectly constructed complex sentences. Many sentences lack proper punctuation, which makes the text feel disjointed. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and proofreading for common errors like article usage and pluralization.
