Student answer (Band 5.0)
Tourism is common all over the world even in the small countries as well. Tourism can either be beneficial or it can be devastated. However in my opinion tourism should increase ones country value. I will also talk the importance and its advantages and disadvantages too. Moreover, the country's development will also be analyzed.
When a certain country focuses on tourism, they suddenly concentrate on their development and growth as well meaning indirectly country will improve by its own. Modernize your countries facilities and systematic technology and a good environment will hold a significant importance for tourism. The Country will also look for new features and modify industries for goods which results in increase in economy.
I will talk some advantages as well. Firstly when there is an increase in tourism, investment and business will surely rise too which will not only help a country but its reputation will be good too around the global districts. Secondly, when money comes, the economy will increase by its own and more countries will look forward to have international relations with an individual country and finally the country will be established as a recognizable and a friend so instead of war, peace would be ensured.
Some disadvantages are also met like initial cost so the countries which are in low budget or have taken loans with others will make a poor image in tourism.
Speaking of tourist, they are very vital due to their importance as they travel and observes and seeks different countries cultural and traditions. How a certain amount of nations live their life and how people communicate with each other, furthermore, how they speak with each other and their patience and tolerance and their ideology can be recognized. Ones country religion plays a vital role for the tourist, main point is that how other people greets and their manner and behavior can be also acknowledge. Tourism basically also demands the moral values.
Hence, tourism holds importance in the world as its more benefits for ones country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but lacks a clear, consistent position. While you mention that tourism can be 'devastated' (likely meaning devastating), you do not clearly state the extent to which you agree or disagree with the prompt's premise regarding environmental and cultural damage. The ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack depth; for instance, the discussion on 'moral values' and 'ideology' in the final paragraph is vague and does not directly address the environmental or cultural damage mentioned in the prompt. To improve, ensure your position is clearly stated in the introduction and that each body paragraph focuses on supporting that specific stance with relevant, well-developed examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Moreover', but the logical progression between ideas is often weak. Paragraphing is present, but the content within the paragraphs is sometimes disjointed. For example, the transition between the economic benefits of tourism and the discussion of tourists' behavior is abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'the country will be established as a recognizable and a friend', where the connection to the previous point is tenuous. To improve, focus on creating a clearer flow of ideas where each sentence logically follows the previous one, and ensure that your paragraph topics are distinct and well-organized.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and sometimes inaccurate. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'devastated' instead of 'devastating', 'global districts' instead of 'global stage', and 'a friend' instead of 'a friendly nation'. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing like 'increase in economy' and 'good importance'. While you attempt to use some academic vocabulary, the lack of precision often hinders the clarity of your argument. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations and using more precise terminology related to economics and sociology, rather than relying on general, everyday language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'tourist... they... observes and seeks'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'I will talk the importance'), and awkward sentence structures (e.g., 'meaning indirectly country will improve by its own'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect prepositions before moving on to more complex structures.
