Student answer (Band 5.0)
These days, there has been a lot of talk about tourism and it is one of the fastest growing industries and contributes to economies around the world. This essay will delve deeper into the possible punitive reasons, viewpoints, overviews, and advantages causing this scenario before presenting my school of thought in the ensuing paragraphs with sufficient and relevant examples.
At first glance, there are several reasons in support of my context, but the most obvious one is that tourism is growing rapidly in all over the world. For example, one survey conducted by "The Daily News" revealed that the majority of people of countries giving layoff in visa charges and giving upto 30 days of visa free stays in country. Furthermore Thailand gives free ticket to the travel content creator to show case the beauty of Thailand and encourage the audience to visit their country and that is great move by the country. As a result, it is clear that because of zero charges in visa process people are travelling a lot in recent years.
On the other hand, tourism can harmful for culture and for people also, because some tourist can create chaos for no reason like not following the rules of other countries, harming local people, not paying money for the taxis, taking hotels towels and hairdryer also. This often ignored by the government. For example, Dubai tourist are shopping at local shop and after doing some shopping they not paying full bill walk away from the store after got complain from the local shop owner Dubai revoked visa free entry for some countries.
To recapitulate, it may be argued that, even though there are many causes, overviews, viewpoints, arguments, pros as well as negatives of tourism. Lastly, it seems to me that it is a wide idea to use such options, and they are pragmatic as well for a people in other countries

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but fails to maintain a clear position. The introduction promises a discussion of 'advantages' and 'punitive reasons,' which are not clearly defined or relevant to the prompt. The body paragraphs provide anecdotal examples, such as the specific mention of Dubai or Thailand, but these lack depth and do not effectively argue the extent of the agreement. The conclusion is vague and fails to summarize the main argument, instead using filler phrases like 'wide idea' and 'pragmatic,' which do not address the core issue of cultural and environmental damage. The response lacks a consistent, well-developed argument throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The introduction contains a list of abstract nouns ('punitive reasons, viewpoints, overviews') that do not accurately reflect the content of the essay. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused, such as 'At first glance' to introduce a point about tourism growth. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between ideas is abrupt. The conclusion is particularly disjointed, failing to synthesize the preceding arguments effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There is an over-reliance on basic phrasing, and some word choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as 'punitive reasons,' 'giving layoff in visa charges,' and 'wide idea.' The student attempts to use more complex vocabulary, but these attempts often result in awkward collocations that impede clarity. There is a lack of precision in discussing the environmental or cultural impacts mentioned in the prompt, relying instead on informal descriptions like 'create chaos.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('some tourist can create chaos'), missing articles, and awkward sentence structures ('after got complain from the local shop owner'). While the student attempts some complex sentences, they are often punctuated incorrectly or contain structural errors. Simple sentences are generally accurate, but the lack of control over more complex structures limits the score. Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with comma usage.
