Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 151 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is severely limited. While you state a position ('I partially agree'), the arguments provided are underdeveloped and lack the necessary depth and supporting examples required for an academic essay. The discussion focuses primarily on why people travel rather than addressing the core issue of environmental and cultural damage caused by tourism. To improve, you must expand your arguments, provide specific examples, and ensure all parts of the prompt are addressed in full.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction beyond the opening sentences, and the body paragraph is incomplete, ending abruptly. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'Moreover', the progression of ideas is disjointed. The paragraphing is insufficient, and the lack of a conclusion further hinders the overall flow. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence, supporting details, and a concluding thought, and use a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas logically.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'helps the nation to earn a lot' and 'most exiting and adventurous sports' are simplistic. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'get relive from mental stress' (should be 'relief') and 'most earnest and demanding industry'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to tourism and economics, and try to use more precise adjectives and nouns to convey your meaning more professionally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'tourism also cause severe damage' (subject-verb agreement), 'average of 2000 people travels' (should be 'travel'), and 'beacuse of fun' (spelling and phrasing). Sentence structures are largely simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, correct verb tenses, and sentence construction. Proofreading for common errors like spelling and pluralization will also help increase your score.
