Student answer (Band 4.5)

Many people believe that tourism is one of the fastest growing industries which contributes a great deal to economies around the world. However some time damage tourism can cause to local culture as well as the environment.I completely agree with this view because, it may cause lack of marketing and no ecosystem will be used. This essay will discuss why I agree with it.

Firstly, Tourism are the backbone of the economy of the country . If tourists decreases many businesses like hotesl and parks will be close due to which the economy of nepal will be change.Which can lead unemployment as well as illiteracy.

Another important point to consider is that no more technology will be lauch we cannot introduced with any one.

In conclusion i firmly believe that this is mainly because of government.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 135 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the essay attempts to address the prompt, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack logical support. For instance, the claim that tourism causes 'lack of marketing' or that 'no ecosystem will be used' is unclear and does not directly address the environmental or cultural damage mentioned in the prompt. The position is stated but not sustained through coherent reasoning or relevant examples. Consequently, the response is only a partial attempt at the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into short paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is disjointed. While some linking words like 'Firstly' and 'In conclusion' are used, they do not effectively connect the arguments. The sentences within paragraphs often lack logical flow, making it difficult for the reader to follow the writer's train of thought. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the vague mention of 'this' in the conclusion, which does not effectively summarize the preceding points. The overall structure is too simplistic to support a coherent argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits the ability to convey complex ideas. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'no more technology will be lauch' and 'we cannot introduced with any one'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to discuss the topic of tourism and its economic or environmental impacts with any degree of precision or sophistication. More variety and better control over word forms are needed.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The response relies on a very limited range of sentence structures, most of which contain significant grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Tourism are the backbone', 'tourists decreases') and incorrect verb forms ('will be close', 'will be change'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalization. While some simple sentences are understandable, the frequent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the use of more complex structures and hinder the overall clarity of the writing.
