Whereas, the damage tourism can cause to local cultures and the environment is often ignored. While some may disagree with this view, I strongly agree with the statment. This essay will explain the main reasons for my position, particularly tourisim can cause environmental problems and enhance plastic pollution.
On the one hand, the primary reason why I agree with this view is that the tourism can cause environmental problems which is harmful to local communities. Another contributing factor is that a large number of tourists are travelled different countries in every year, these tourists spread a wide variety of food-related garbage. For example, in many countries, local markets and parks are seriously demange from tourists that have influenced on people health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to address the prompt by discussing both the negative environmental impacts and the economic benefits of tourism, thus touching upon the core issue. However, the essay falls significantly short of the minimum word requirement, containing only 205 words compared to the required 250 words. This under-length impacts the overall development of ideas, leaving the arguments somewhat limited and abrupt. Although a clear position is stated in the introduction, the body paragraphs do not fully extend or substantiate the points with robust examples. For instance, the mention of food-related garbage and damage to parks is underdeveloped. Because the length requirement was not met and the ideas lack sufficient expansion, the response aligns closely with Band 5 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a basic overall progression, utilizing standard signposting phrases such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' to structure the response. Paragraphing is attempted, with distinct sections for the introduction, negative aspects, and positive aspects. However, cohesion is frequently mechanical and sometimes faulty. For example, the sentence 'For example, in many countries, local markets and parks are seriously demange from tourists that have influenced on people health' suffers from awkward referencing and unclear logical links. Furthermore, cohesive devices are occasionally inadequate or repetitive, leading to an overall arrangement that feels disjointed in places. These limitations place the response firmly in Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student displays a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary suitable for discussing the topic of tourism and the economy, employing words like 'industries', 'economies', 'cultures', and 'environment'. However, there are frequent noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word formation, such as 'demange' instead of damaged, 'tourisim', 'statment', and 'economic' instead of economies. Collocations are also weak, seen in phrases like 'enhance plastic pollution' and 'tourists are travelled'. While the vocabulary allows the general meaning to come through, the persistent inaccuracies and lack of sophisticated lexical items prevent the writing from achieving a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response exhibits a very limited range of sentence structures, with frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The writer attempts complex sentences, but these are often faulty, such as 'the primary reason why I agree with this view is that the tourism can cause environmental problems which is harmful' and 'tourists that have influenced on people health'. There are also basic subject-verb agreement errors, such as 'the tourism are help to grow economically'. While simple sentences are occasionally controlled, the high density of grammatical errors across both simple and complex forms restricts the score to Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
