Student answer (Band 5.0)

People learn through their daily life. They got new experience everyday.According to my observation and believe the damage that tourism cause to the environment and to local cultures is often ignored.I give certain reason below to prove my answer.

First of all, tourism is growth is massively increased from recent years which generate a lot of money for governament but money is not the problem, the problem is that governament didn't make any rule for tourist places which stop the tourist to spread rubish or waste material in open. For example, governament of india made several rules that stop people from making the place dirty.

second of all, no one have concern about it.For example, if any outsider make any damage to local culture we have to stop him but no one can't do it.The people are real strenght of any country or nation but we failed as a nation because we only know run from the responsibilities in place of facing them.

Third of all, everything in the universe have advantages and disadvantages both. So, we have to consider all factors. For example, last week there is a big attack in islamabad in pakistan by five tourist on a child but before the family of the child registor the report those tourist escape from the country.

Overall, tourism is the aspect we never stop or close but we have to make law to protect our local culture and the environment. We all have to accept it that we ignore damage of tourism in seeing it's growth but from now we have to accknowledge it and correct it to make the world better.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The student addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance agreeing that the damage caused by tourism is often ignored. Ideas are introduced through reasons, such as government inaction regarding waste and cultural disrespect. However, the development of these ideas is limited and sometimes hindered by weak examples, such as the anecdote regarding Islamabad which is unclear and poorly integrated. While the main position is discernible throughout the response, the arguments lack sufficient extension and depth, which places the response securely at Band 5.0. To improve, the student should expand upon each point with more cohesive reasoning, realistic examples, and a clearer connection to the central theme of tourism's environmental and cultural impacts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays some overall organization with distinct paragraph breaks and sequencing markers like 'First of all,' 'second of all,' and 'Third of all.' However, the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions, repetitive sentence openings, and mechanical cohesive devices. Paragraphing is attempted, but the paragraphs themselves consist of disjointed thoughts rather than a logical flow of cohesive arguments. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly with pronoun usage and abrupt shifts in topic. These limitations in organizational skill and the over-reliance on basic transitional markers restrict the score to Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary suitable for addressing the prompt, including terms such as 'industries,' 'economies,' 'environment,' and 'responsibilities.' However, there are noticeable lexical errors, awkward word choices, and typos throughout the text, such as 'got new experience everyday,' 'believe' instead of 'belief,' 'growth is massively increased,' and 'accknowledge.' These inaccuracies and spelling mistakes cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the vocabulary to a basic level. To reach a higher band, the student needs to expand their range of less common lexical items and pay closer attention to word formation and collocation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic compound forms. Attempts at more complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to frequent grammatical and punctuation errors. Examples of errors include subject-verb agreement issues ('everything in the universe have advantages'), tense inconsistencies ('last week there is a big attack'), and missing articles ('governament of india'). These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader and obscure the meaning at times. The high frequency of basic structural errors aligns the response with the descriptors for Band 4.5, as simple structures are not controlled consistently without error.
