Student answer (Band 5.5)
The issue of an increasing tourism can cause positive and negative effects on environment and local culture, has become debated topic in the recent years. Attracting attention from various group and individuals. Some people think that tourisum is one of the most rapidly developing companies and promote a great fianance across the globe. Whereas, the damage tourism can create negative effect on local traditions and the atmosphere is usually overlooked, arguing that it has neumorus merits. Others strongly disagree, believeing that it can lead to potential drawbacks. According to my perspective, i wholeheartedly agree with the later santence. Throughout this essay, my stance will be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.
To begin with, there are several adverse effect can done by the tourism on local cultures and the environment, that can not be ignored. The primary and most significant factore is that tourism industry leads pollution. A growing number of travel companies are build in neraby the tourist attraction because of that they are created much air pollution and noise pollution by tourist. Large numbers of tourists can produce waste, pollution and excessive use of water and energy.
Furthermore, Overcrowding can build pressure on local communities. A high number of tourists can put pressure on housing, transport and public services.
On the other hand, other people say that it has several merits, it essential to consider them. First and foremost, it increases employment opportunities. Tourism creates jobs in hotels, restaurants, transport, tour companies and shops. This provide batter income for local individuals. As a result, they experience high standard living. Additionally, another positive aspact is that it improved country's GDP. Because of foreign exchange. They spend lots of finance in food, transportation and entertainment.
To sum up, although tourism can create job rate and greater income in the nation, i firmly believe that it occures many harmful effects on local places and ecosystem such as pollution and overcrowding.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position ('i wholeheartedly agree with the later santence') and discussing both negative and positive aspects of tourism. The ideas presented, such as pollution, overcrowding, employment, and GDP growth, are relevant to the prompt. However, the development of these ideas is limited and somewhat superficial, particularly in the body paragraphs which remain brief and lack detailed elaboration or concrete examples. For instance, the point regarding overcrowding is stated in a single sentence without further expansion. This places the response comfortably in Band 6, where all parts of the task are addressed, but some ideas are under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to introduce, body, and conclude the topic. Basic cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'On the other hand'. However, paragraphing is somewhat problematic; the second and third body paragraphs ('To begin with...' and 'Furthermore, Overcrowding...') are extremely short, with the latter consisting of only two sentences, which disrupts the logical flow and progression. Additionally, referencing and logical transitions within the introduction are occasionally faulty, such as the confusing phrasing in the opening sentences. Cohesion can feel mechanical at times. This corresponds to a Band 6 performance.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student attempts an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, incorporating terms such as 'employment opportunities', 'foreign exchange', 'ecosystem', and 'adverse effect'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors ('tourisum', 'fianance', 'neumorus', 'believing', 'aspact', 'occures') and inaccurate word forms or collocations ('adverse effect can done by', 'promote a great fianance', 'batter income'). These errors occasionally detract from the reading experience, though they do not severely impede overall communication. These lexical limitations and control issues firmly place the response at Band 5.5, rounded to 6.0 for adequate task coverage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including relative clauses and introductory phrases. However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text, featuring frequent errors such as subject-verb agreement issues ('an increasing tourism can cause', 'adverse effect can done'), incorrect auxiliary usage ('are build in neraby'), and punctuation/capitalization errors ('i wholeheartedly'). Sentences like 'A growing number of travel companies are build in neraby the tourist attraction because of that they are created much air pollution...' demonstrate poor control over complex sentence structures. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, this aligns with a Band 5 score.
