Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years people like to travel different placies, countries or local sport for refres their mind and to enjoy new environment. Because of that reason Tourism industry is the quickest growing industries and it contributes a great deal to the economy across the glob. However some times the damage that is caused by the tourism to the local culture and environment is ofetn ignored. Further this essay will discuss its advantages and disadvantges and in the end i'll provide my point of view.
It is true that tourism industry helps the world economy by attracting many tourist in different countries and different place around the world. It helps to grow the local business and other local thing to rich accross the glob. People from abroad county spent their money in other county then they will get forein corrency. For example Taj Mahel is one of the wonder from 7 wonders of the world. When tourist come from different nation to see the Taj Mahal they learn about Indian culture, food and many more. They soent their money in India and because of that reason the economy of india is boosted.
Ever coin has two sides like that Tourism has some disadvantage like some time people try to harm to the culture, local things or the place they have visited. They throw garbage hear and there and distroy the environment. Suchas When people visite india some of them throw weast at evey place and because of that reason the environment os polluted.
To conclude I strongly belive that tourism is one of the fastest growing industry and helps to boost the economy but when people travel certain place they should take care that they are not damaging the local culture or the environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task, though some parts are more fully covered than others. The writer attempts to present a position on whether tourism causes damage to local cultures and the environment, but the ideas are at times limited and under-developed. For instance, the introduction states that the essay will discuss advantages and disadvantages and provide a point of view, but the arguments regarding cultural damage are only superficially touched upon with brief mentions of people harming local things. While the example of the Taj Mahal supports the economic benefits well, the environmental and cultural drawbacks lack specific, fully explored elaboration. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to extend and support all ideas more thoroughly, ensuring that the stance on both economic growth and negative impacts is consistently clear and well-substantiated throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at a standard essay structure, including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct ideas, such as economic advantages in the second paragraph and environmental disadvantages in the third. However, the progression is sometimes hindered by mechanical or faulty cohesive devices. Phrases like 'Ever coin has two sides like that' demonstrate awkward transitions, and referencing is not always clear, as seen in vague pronoun usage. To achieve a higher level of cohesion, the writer should employ a wider and more natural range of linking words and ensure that each paragraph flows logically into the next without abrupt shifts in topic.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts to use some less common vocabulary, such as 'industries', 'economy', and 'environment', but struggles with frequent errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of lexical inaccuracies include 'placies' instead of places, 'refres' instead of refresh, 'glob' instead of globe, 'ofetn' instead of often, 'soent' instead of spent, 'distroy' instead of destroy, and 'weast' instead of waste. Furthermore, phrasing such as 'local sport' and 'local thing to rich accross the glob' lacks natural collocation. To improve lexical resource, the writer needs to build a wider range of precise vocabulary and pay closer attention to basic spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer uses a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside some attempts at complex forms, such as conditional or dependent clauses in sentences like 'When tourist come from different nation to see the Taj Mahal they learn about Indian culture...'. However, these complex attempts are frequently faulty. There are noticeable errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, articles, and plurals throughout the text, including 'people like to travel', 'Because of that reason Tourism industry is', 'some times the damage that is caused... is ofetn ignored', and 'tourist come'. Punctuation is also erratic in places. While these errors do not completely obscure the overall meaning, they are frequent enough to cause distraction and difficulty for the reader. Incorporating a wider variety of accurate grammatical structures will be essential for future progress.
