Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The response only minimally addresses the task, falling far short of the required 250-word minimum at just 99 words (with 11 words copied directly from the prompt not counted). While the writer attempts to take a position agreeing with the prompt, the ideas remain extremely limited and underdeveloped. The content stops abruptly after two short paragraphs, failing to present a fully formulated argument with relevant examples from personal knowledge or experience, which restricts the depth of coverage expected for higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
Information and ideas are not arranged coherently, and the response suffers from a lack of clear overall progression. Although basic linkers like 'However' (from the prompt) and 'Yes' are attempted, referencing is weak and confusing, particularly with the isolated dangling letter 'a' at the end of the text. Paragraphing is attempted, but the extreme brevity and abrupt halting of thoughts prevent logical sequencing and cohesive flow between the ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, utilizing everyday terms such as 'a lot', 'good', and 'things' effectively, though there are noticeable word-choice and spelling errors that strain the reader's understanding. Errors such as 'enviroments', 'imformtion', and 'advantges' appear frequently. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary like 'economically and culturally', but inaccurate word forms and spelling slips limit the precision and restrict the lexical range to a minimally adequate level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple sentence patterns where attempts at complex structures are often faulty. There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and plurals, such as 'many tourists has the habit' and 'verything has a disadvantages'. Punctuation and article usage are also inconsistent, leading to sentences that require extra effort from the reader to parse, though the core meaning of individual clauses usually remains just barely discernible.
