Student answer (Band 5.5)
tourism is one of the rapid growing industries and contribute a great deal of financial over the world. however, the damage traveller can also cause the local tradition and the atmosphere is often ignored. I mostly agree that by this statement because when the government should take a few steps about the culture then they save the historical places. otherwise, it is a negative effect on the local culture.
First argument is that when tourists rate are so high thay are more beneficial for growth of government economic, but when tourism increase they destroy some historical places and polluted many areas. furthermore, when tourist increase then built more roads, hotels and building in mountain areas, so management will cutting more forest area then it cause environment pollution. so government should install more rules which save the local culture and environment. for instance, when individuals traveller increase then more plastics in mountian areas and rise more pollution.
second argument is that the traveller should effect the local traditition and change the civilization of any country, because the traditional places are attract the tourist and these places are commercial, as a result tourism should only follow the lifestyle of tradition and forget their lifestyle on these commercial areas. in addition government should apply rule and follow them strictly, then they safe their local and historical places. for example, individuals should built traditional shops and costums shops which attract the more tourists.
in conclusion, tourism is very important for economic growth and government should also take steps and follow these rules stictly and install some protection polices, then tourisms are more beneficial for any nation. i completely agree on this statement because tourism is rise the financial growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing an opinion on the impact of tourism on local cultures and the environment, thereby tackling the main parts of the task. However, the position is not always clearly sustained throughout, and the ideas presented are somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the first body paragraph mentions economic benefits, environmental pollution, and building in mountain areas, but these points lack clear extension or detailed support. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to present fully developed ideas with relevant, well-supported examples rather than generalized statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some organization with clear paragraph breaks and basic signposting such as 'First argument', 'second argument', and 'in conclusion'. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression of ideas, and cohesive devices are often mechanical, inaccurate, or repetitive. The referencing throughout the text is not always clear, making it difficult to follow the logical links between sentences. To improve, the writer should use a wider variety of cohesive ties more naturally and ensure that each sentence leads logically and smoothly into the next to enhance overall readability.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and just minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable lexical errors, such as 'rapid growing', 'financial over the world', 'tourist rate', and 'costums shops', which stem from issues with word form, collocation, and word choice. Spelling errors like 'mountian' also appear. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary, these attempts are often inaccurate. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their lexical range, demonstrate better control over word formation and collocations, and minimize spelling and vocabulary inaccuracies that hinder smooth communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text relies on a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent, frequent errors in basic grammar, including missing or incorrect articles, subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'tourism is rise'), incorrect prepositions, and non-standard capitalization and punctuation throughout the response. These frequent errors can cause some difficulty for the reader in grasping the intended meaning. To progress, the writer needs to demonstrate better control over basic sentence patterns, improve accuracy in verb tenses and forms, and produce a higher proportion of error-free sentences.
