Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both the economic benefits of tourism and its possible effects on culture and the environment, and your conclusion gives a clear position: tourism can support economic growth, but it needs regulation. The examples of tourism-related spending and waste on Goa’s beaches are relevant to the question. However, the discussion is uneven: the economic paragraph lists transport, tolls, taxes and shops, but does not explain their wider impact in much depth. The cultural point about visitors influencing local customs is also brief and unclear. To strengthen the response, develop fewer examples more fully and explain how they demonstrate the extent to which you agree that tourism’s damage is ignored.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, moving from an introduction to economic benefits, then harms, and finally a conclusion. Paragraphing helps distinguish these main stages, and signposts such as “First of all,” “However” and “In conclusion” make the direction of the argument apparent. At times, though, linking is mechanical or inaccurate: “moreover” and “inaddition” recur where the relationship between ideas is not always clear. The long economic paragraph also strings several points together, making the progression harder to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and divide or connect supporting points according to their meaning. Check pronoun references too, as “they adapt that and forget there” leaves the reader unsure exactly what is being adapted or forgotten.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “economic growth,” “cultural exchange,” “commercialisation,” “sustainable growth” and “future generations.” These choices show an effort to discuss both benefits and costs rather than relying only on basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear, as in “enviorment,” “impalnted,” “commercilisation” and “through waste.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “tourism playing a paramount role in contributing GDP” and “cause to local cultures.” Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. A smaller set of precise expressions—such as “contribute to GDP,” “damage local ecosystems” and “dispose of waste”—would make the argument clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, including a concession beginning “although, tourism can promote cultural exchange…” This gives the response some structural variety. However, complex sentences are not consistently controlled, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries sometimes make ideas difficult to follow. For example, “tourism have several advantage” needs agreement and plural marking, while “people travel to multiple places they choose any transportation” joins clauses without suitable punctuation or a connector. “Tourism playing a paramount role” also lacks a finite verb. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Review subject–verb agreement and punctuation, especially in long sentences.
