Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response is relevant to tourism and gives a clear position at the end: “I’m totally agree” that tourism is important. It also mentions economic benefits, cultural traditions, food and natural attractions. However, the task asks whether you agree that tourism’s damage to local cultures and the environment is often ignored, and this central issue is only minimally addressed. You mainly describe what tourists see and how tourism can promote a country; you do not explain the possible damage or whether it is ignored. The claim that tourism can otherwise “damage our culture as well as our economy” is unclear and unsupported. To develop the response, state your degree of agreement in the introduction and explain, with examples, both the harms and the economic benefits before reaching a reasoned conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic paragraph structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally relate to tourism. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the response does not clearly organise its discussion around the question of tourism’s harmful effects. The introduction promises an analysis and an opinion “in the last,” delaying the position, while the body paragraphs repeat that tourists explore places and traditions without building a clear argument. Linking phrases such as “First of all,” “In the addition,” and “To sum up” provide some signposting, but connections between sentences are often unclear, especially in the long third paragraph. Give each body paragraph one main point, explain it in a logical sequence, and use references such as “these benefits” only when their meaning is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “historical places,” “traditional foods,” “traditions,” “environment,” and “economic growth.” These terms help communicate the general subject, but the range is repetitive and often imprecise, which limits the clarity of the argument. For example, “explore” is repeated frequently, and “show the interest in our environment” does not clearly express what tourists do or what impact they have. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “ecnomic,” “beautifull,” “varities,” and “demage.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary for both benefits and harms, such as “generate income,” “put pressure on local ecosystems,” and “erode cultural traditions,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response relies mainly on simple sentence patterns, with limited control of longer structures. Errors occur frequently in basic grammar and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. For example, “Tourism is playing an important role in modern era” is missing an article, and “They visits” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The sentence “Those countries who will ignore this will demage the economy and environment” also has an unclear reference and awkward clause structure. Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention: several ideas are joined into long sentences, while spacing around commas and full stops is inconsistent. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete sentence construction first, then add controlled complex sentences using “because,” “although,” or “which.”
