Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You recognise both sides of the issue: tourism can support national economies and create jobs, while also causing cultural and environmental harm. The examples of Thailand, Bali and Indonesia help illustrate the economic point. However, the response only partially answers the question about the extent to which you agree: your position is introduced as “I think it also create many detrimental impact,” but the essay does not clearly explain how strongly you agree or develop that judgement. The economic benefits receive much more explanation than the harms, and the final discussion is cut off before the environmental and cultural effects are fully described. State your position directly in the introduction and support both sides with specific, developed examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable structure, with an introduction and separate paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other side.” This gives the reader a basic sense of contrast, and examples generally follow the point they are intended to support. However, progression is uneven: the first body paragraph repeats the idea that tourism creates jobs and income through several related points, while the second paragraph begins a discussion of harm but does not develop it. Some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated “Another one” and “Firstly,” and the opening sentence of the introduction does not connect smoothly to the next. Organise each paragraph around one clear main idea, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “financial situation,” “adverse effects,” “detrimental impact,” “accommodations” and “tourism business.” These choices show an effort to discuss economic and social consequences rather than relying only on very basic words. However, the range is limited and many word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow: “tourism regard as a fastest increasing industries,” “create impact to the financial situation,” and “prime economy depends on this tourism” are not natural expressions. Spelling errors such as “eccessive,” “exploer,” “Indnesia” and “finence” also reduce clarity. Learn topic-specific collocations and check spelling; for example, use “a rapidly growing industry” and “contributes to the economy.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including explanations of how visitor spending can create employment. However, control is weak: errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to interpret. Examples include “Tourism regard as a fastest increasing industries,” “people visits when get time,” and “many people can benefited financial,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. Several sentences also run together, as in “nowadays tarvelling become very popular among the people they love to exploer different places.” Use a reliable simple structure first—subject, verb and object—then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check singular/plural agreement, verb tense and sentence boundaries during revision.
