Student answer (Band 5.0)
Through different forms of print and digital media we come across reports that tourism is one of huge and fastest growing industries and contributes a major deal to economies around the world. However, the damage tourism can cause to local cultures and the environment is frequently ignored. This has resulted into multiple controversies. After scrutiny of debates, i compeletly accede.
My inclination can be bolstered with interesting observations. To begin with, having great tourism places economy increase rapidly. by this i mean that, many visitors visit there and use facilities. Therefore, local markets, hotels, restrorents and transports facilities play huge role in economy. In addition to these, there are many local people suffer from high rates markets. This view exists as, products became more expensive due to high demand. As a result, local people spend various amount of money in small things.
Not only these, many tourist use plastic products and throw anywhere they cannot maintain hygine. Generally speaking, by this many local people suffure from dieses and also damage the environment. Consequently, local people stay in damage environment and face many problemes. Apart from these, residence loss thier local culture due to frequently visit western culture people. As matter of fact, many people influenced by them and they follow modern lifestyle. So, people easily forget thier culture. According to recent public poll in this matter, many small tourist town live in modern lifestle.
In conclusion, down the lane, government should take some strict action and preserved iconic places. It is recommended that, people can also take care our environment and protect our nature.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a clear position in the introduction with “I completely accede” and discuss relevant effects on local economies, residents, the environment, and culture. However, the position is not fully clear: the essay first emphasises tourism’s economic benefits, then lists harms without explicitly explaining how these support your degree of agreement. Several points are asserted rather than developed—for example, the claim that residents “suffer from high rates markets” needs a clear explanation and a specific example. The conclusion offers general recommendations instead of directly restating your view. The response is also five words below the 250-word minimum; the 19 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop fewer points with clearer reasoning and examples, and ensure the response meets the required length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposting such as “To begin with,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” helps show the intended structure. However, progression within the paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are added without clear links or explanation. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from tourism facilities to higher prices, but the relationship between these points is not expressed clearly. Phrases such as “Not only these” and “Apart from these” are awkward or repetitive, while “by this” is used without a precise reference. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain its cause and effect with clear referencing and more accurate transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “local cultures,” “environment,” “high demand,” and “modern lifestyle,” and use some topic-specific terms such as “facilities” and “iconic places.” However, the range is limited and frequent spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make several ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “restrorents,” “hygine,” “suffure,” and “compeletly”; phrases such as “a major deal” and “high rates markets” are also unnatural or unclear. These errors sometimes impede communication, which limits the effectiveness of the vocabulary. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, such as “a significant contribution” and “rising prices,” before trying to use more ambitious expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some attempts at complex structures, including “As a result” and “due to high demand,” so there is an effort to connect causes and consequences. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “having great tourism places economy increase rapidly” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “many local people suffer from high rates markets” does not form a clear clause. In “government should take some strict action and preserved iconic places,” the verb forms do not match. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “by this i mean.” Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each verb’s form.
