Student answer (Band 5.0)
Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries and contributes a great deal to economic around the world as . I partially agree with this statement i'll share some relevant views and examples .
Tourism is growing faster nowadays because of good transportation and it provides a better employement system for workers and shopkeepers . Tourism also extends the GDP of country and also may leads a better way of sailing goods . For instance, last year i wisited Golden Tample at Amritsar i satyed there for 4 days and also i saw persons visited there from outer states and they stay at hotels so its a good way of income for hotel management and the visitors bought things from street shops so its also good source of income for small bussinesmens .
On the other hand side , tourisms come from outer states may cause so much damages and also with the much transportation the pollution is caused so with this people face so mnay health problems physically and mentally . Due to this much population of outsiders there is traffic on roads wich may cause vey much frustration to a person .
To conclude , every thing has both advantages and also disadvantages so if there is a growth in countrys gdp it also cause so much damages to our nation .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a partial position—“I partially agree”—and include relevant points about tourism’s economic benefits and its effects on pollution and traffic. The Golden Temple example helps illustrate income for hotels and street shops. However, the position is not fully explained: the essay does not clearly specify which harms to local cultures and the environment you agree are being ignored, and cultural damage is not developed. Several ideas, such as health problems and frustration, are asserted rather than supported or linked directly to the question. The conclusion repeats the general idea that tourism has advantages and disadvantages without clarifying your extent of agreement. The response is 210 words, below the 250-word minimum; 14 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each side with specific explanation and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on economic benefits, a contrasting paragraph on negative effects, and a conclusion. “On the other hand” signals a change in direction, and the Golden Temple example is placed alongside the point it supports. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from transport to employment, GDP, goods, and then the visit example without fully connecting these points. Linking phrases such as “also” are repeated, while “so” is used several times to join ideas that need clearer relationships. The conclusion does not draw the two sides together into a precise final position. Organise each paragraph around one main claim and use clearer links between explanation and evidence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate basic ideas, including “GDP,” “pollution,” “traffic,” and “source of income.” The example also gives some concrete detail about hotels and street shops. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear: “extends the GDP,” “a better way of sailing goods,” and “tourisms come from outer states” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “employement,” “wisited,” and “bussinesmens” are noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural phrases and check spelling; for example, describe tourism as “boosting GDP” and visitors as “tourists from other regions.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a sentence beginning “because of good transportation” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine several ideas often produce faulty sentence structures. For example, “Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries and contributes a great deal to economic around the world as” is incomplete, while “it also cause so much damages” has errors in subject–verb agreement and countability. There are also problems with articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, as in “may leads” and the long sentence about your visit. These errors can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise complete sentences, accurate verb forms, and punctuation, then check each sentence for a clear subject and main verb.
