Student answer (Band 6.0)
The demage tourism cause to native cultures and environment has become a major concern. Although, a handome amount in the form of revenue is generated from tourism, but the respective resultant effects are often ignored. In this essay, I will explain why I completely agree with this statement and then draw conclusion.
One key demage resulting from tourism is pollution and waste. The visitors bring food at tourist sites and leave the wrappers and water bottles at sites unattended. Furthermore, they reach to such places either by personal or public transport and do not follow the environmental protocols. The continous honks and noises increase noise pollution, while the smoke from transportation causes air pollution. For example, the Effile Tower in France is most prominent case. Another factor worth considering is the loss of habitat. To accomodate visitors, the natural lands (e.g. local forests) are conveted into hotels and guest houses. This eventually ends up disturbing climate for humans and other species. For example, one famous place known as Murree in Pakistan is has now more hotels than natural sites.
I firmly believe that, there should be proper rules and guidelines at government level in the form of heavy fines to reduce such practices. For example, fines on littering, honking and smoke release. Futhermore, there must be EVs or shuttles to accomodate pessengers from designated parkings to certain main tourist point. Additionally, awareness should be normalized at academic and personal level. There must have short course at educational level highlighting the common ettiquates and rules for tourism.
In conclusion, despite that tourist sector is contributing in economy flourishment of a country but the consequences such as pollution and loss of habit are worth considering. The guidelines designed by government and educational awareness has potential to minize it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you state that you “completely agree” and maintain that view in the conclusion. You address the environmental harm in relevant detail, especially litter, transport pollution and habitat loss, and the examples of the Eiffel Tower and Murree help make the discussion concrete. You also acknowledge tourism’s economic contribution, so the response engages with both sides of the prompt. However, the cultural damage named in the question is not actually explained; most of the essay focuses on environmental effects. Some proposed solutions, such as educational courses, are relevant but are not developed enough to show how they would protect local cultures as well as the environment. Addressing that aspect directly and extending the supporting explanation would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining environmental harms, a paragraph proposing measures, and a conclusion. The progression from problems to solutions is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “Additionally,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. This gives the response a coherent arrangement. At times, however, the linking feels mechanical, and some connections between ideas are not fully clear. For instance, the Eiffel Tower example follows a discussion of pollution but does not specify which pollution problem it illustrates. The solutions paragraph also moves quickly from fines to transport and education without explaining how these points relate. Use clearer references and develop transitions between related ideas to make the progression more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “noise pollution,” “air pollution,” “loss of habitat,” “designated parkings,” and “awareness.” These choices show an attempt to discuss tourism and environmental management with appropriate terms. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the writing less clear or natural: “demage,” “handome,” “conveted,” and “ettiquates” are examples. Several phrases are also awkward, such as “economy flourishment” and “smoke release”; more conventional collocations would improve precision. The range is sufficient to communicate the main points, but control of spelling, word forms and collocation is inconsistent. Proofread carefully and learn useful topic phrases as complete expressions rather than translating them word by word.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “Although” and “To accommodate,” and most of the main ideas remain understandable. However, some sentence structures and grammatical patterns are faulty. “Although … but” uses two contrasting linkers where one is needed, while “Murree … is has now” contains an incorrect verb construction. There are also issues with articles, agreement and sentence formation, as in “there must have short course” and “the guidelines … has potential.” These errors do not generally prevent the reader from following your argument, but they reduce accuracy and make some sentences awkward. Practise building complex sentences with one clear main clause, and check verb forms, subject–verb agreement and article use during revision.
