Student answer (Band 5.0)
In today’s rapidly changing world, tourism is one of the rapidly growing industries and provides a lot to economies all around the world. It has become a subject of considerable debate. While some people hold opposing views, I strongly agree with the statement because of its significant implications for individuals and society.
The primary reason for my position is that toursim helps to maximize countrys' economy This is mainly because it can directly influence people’s daily lives by improving their opportunities, reducing difficulties, or creating more favourable circumstances. For example, If a guider provides his services to tourists and in return get a handsome amount of money it will increase the countrys' economy. Consequently, this can contribute to long-term personal development and social progress.
Another important consideration is that tourist guider must keep one thing in mind that they have to give their best in terms of services. In an increasingly competitive and interconnected world, decisions related to this issue can have far-reaching consequences. If managed effectively, they can promote efficiency, encourage responsible behaviour, and create lasting benefits for future generations. For instance, if a guider does not provide his services according to need of their customers this act demotivates the tourist community This further demonstrates why the issue deserves careful consideration.
In conclusion, I firmly agree with the given statement because it can influence both individual well-being and broader social development. Although different perspectives should be considered, I believe that our government should concentrate on this tourism industry and do some reforms for the betterment of this industry provided that appropriate measures are taken to maximise the benefits and minimise potential drawbacks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
Your position is explicit: you say you “strongly agree,” and the conclusion repeats this view. However, the response does not adequately address the actual claim that tourism’s damage to local cultures and the environment is often ignored. Most of the discussion instead concerns economic benefits, guides’ service quality, and government reforms. The example about a guide earning money supports tourism’s contribution to the economy, not your view on cultural or environmental harm. The second body paragraph also does not explain how tourism affects either of those areas. To make the response relevant, explain specific harms—such as pollution, pressure on local resources, or the loss of cultural traditions—and show why these impacts are overlooked, while making clear how strongly you agree.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “The primary reason,” “Another important consideration,” and “In conclusion” helps readers identify these sections. However, the ideas do not progress clearly toward an answer to the question: the first body paragraph shifts to economic benefits, while the second moves to guides’ service standards without connecting this point to cultural or environmental damage. Several broad statements, including “decisions related to this issue can have far-reaching consequences,” do not clarify the argument. Improve progression by giving each body paragraph one relevant impact, explaining it, and linking it back to your position. More precise connections between examples and claims would also reduce the mechanical feel of the transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some appropriate topic-related language, including “economies,” “tourists,” “services,” and “long-term personal development.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “considerable debate” and “far-reaching consequences.” However, vocabulary is often general or repetitive, and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward: “provides a lot to economies,” “maximize countrys' economy,” and “tourist guider” do not express the intended ideas naturally. The repeated use of “guider” also limits precision. Spelling and word-form errors such as “toursim” and “countrys'” are noticeable. Build a more precise range for the prompt, using terms for environmental impacts and cultural change, and check collocations and spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If managed effectively, they can promote efficiency” and a relative clause in “because it can influence both individual well-being and broader social development.” These attempts show some range, but control is uneven. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are often missing: “This is mainly because it can directly influence people’s daily lives…” runs into “For example,” without a full stop, and the second body paragraph has similar missing stops. There are also errors in sentence construction and agreement, for example “a guider does not provide his services according to need of their customers.” Capitalisation after full stops is inconsistent, as in “For example, If.” Use shorter, complete sentences where needed, then check punctuation, articles, and agreement.
