Student answer (Band 5.0)

The statement given is true i completely agree with the statement because ofcource tourism is one of thr fastest growing industries and contributes a great deal to economics around the world.

Most of the tourist spots are near to the local peoples and that is how local people earn through it like they help people explore the area and also they provide different things like shelter, food, security, and transport that is how they lead their life if . the damage tourism can cause to local culture and the envirnment is ignored because they are feared about their livelihood and also fear of loosing their jobs .

They aalso want to make tourists feel confortable around their new places so they change the culture and envirement accourding to them

For example:wheni visited sertain places like famous places i have saw the sam things like they make shure they provide everything with out making me uncomfortable us as we are new to the place and also the culture we will get to see their culture but cant follow the culture .Which could lead to influence them and effect both their culture and environment at the same time.

To avoid such kind of disturbences tourist guids should exolain the exact thing to the visitors about the place and also the things which should not to be dont which will lead to the dame and effect the environment. they should make shure they educate the visitors properly about the place so that the mistakes can not be done

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear position—“i completely agree”—and discuss both local culture and the environment, with a personal example and a suggestion involving tourist guides. However, the response only partially develops the task: the explanation that residents adapt things for tourists is not clearly connected to specific cultural or environmental damage, and the example remains vague. The conclusion is also missing, so your position and main reasons are not brought together. The response is 244 words, below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop one or two specific effects, explain why they occur, and add a brief concluding paragraph.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: you begin with your opinion, move to residents’ livelihoods and possible impacts, give an example, and finish with a proposed solution. This gives the reader a basic sense of direction. However, the response is presented as one continuous block, and the progression between points is not always clear. For instance, “they change the culture and envirement accourding to them” does not clearly identify who “they” are or explain how this change causes harm. Linking phrases such as “For example” and “To avoid” help, but connections are limited and sometimes awkward. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, example, and conclusion, and make references explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “livelihood,” “tourists,” “local culture,” and “environment,” so the main subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to follow, such as “envirnment,” “loosing,” “confortable,” and “disturbences.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “make tourists feel comfortable around their new places” and “the exact thing” do not express your meaning clearly. Aim for accurate topic-specific phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe pressure on local traditions or damage to natural areas rather than referring generally to “the damage.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example, “Most of the tourist spots are near to the local peoples and that is how local people earn through it,” but these structures are often faulty. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are inconsistent, as in “their livelihood and also fear of loosing their jobs .” There are also problems with verb forms and sentence construction: “i have saw” should use a correct present-perfect form, while “the things which should not to be dont” is not grammatically formed. The limited control of these patterns sometimes makes relationships between ideas unclear. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “which,” and “so that.”
