Student answer (Band 5.0)
Tourism is one of the important key to boost the economy of a country. A country got recognition in terms of their hospitality to others, the places that are magnificent, the foods that they can offer, or the overall experience of a tourist can have. I do not agree that tourism damage local cultures and environment is often ignored. Here are some of the reasons.
To start, locals know why is it important to protect the cultures that they have. For example, in a temple, you are not allowed to take a video or a picture or even go near because you might damage the temple. They know how to showcase to tourist their culture but at the same time giving them limit to access the temple. It's like giving the tourist some boundaries that won't really hurt them or your culture.
Because if you will not protect your local culture and the environment, it will have a big impact to the economy.
To mention, the local government unit knows when it is the time for them to step up when something is happening to the environment. For example, having a break so that they can clean up or detox the tourist spot. If they are profiting from the environment, might as well protect and appreciate it.
In conclusion, tourism have a huge advantage to a country especially if that country has a lot to offer to the tourist. But tourism should not be a hindrance for them to protect their local culture and environment. It should be their inspiration and their policy to not ignore these concerns.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is stated: you disagree that tourism-related damage is often ignored, and you give relevant examples involving temple access and local-government clean-up periods. However, the response only partially develops the question. The temple example shows how access may be controlled, but it does not establish how widespread or effective such protection is. The point that environmental damage could affect the economy is asserted rather than explained, and the government example needs a clearer account of what action is taken and how it prevents harm. The introduction also focuses on tourism’s economic benefits before directly addressing whether damage is ignored. Develop each reason with a specific explanation and make the extent of your disagreement more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and the examples are generally relevant to the point being discussed. However, the progression between ideas is not consistently clear. The standalone paragraph beginning “Because if you will not protect…” feels disconnected from the preceding temple example and the following government point. Linking phrases such as “To start” and “To mention” signal sequence, but they do not always show the precise relationship between claims. Some references, including “they” and “it,” are also unclear. Group related reasoning into developed paragraphs, connect each example explicitly to your position, and use transitions that show cause, contrast or consequence rather than simply introducing another point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “local cultures,” “environment,” “protect,” “economy” and “tourist spot.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “boundaries” and “step up.” However, the range is limited and some word combinations or choices are imprecise, which makes parts of the argument less natural. For example, “important key” is redundant, “a break” is vague for a planned pause in tourism, and “detox the tourist spot” is not an appropriate collocation for cleaning an area. Aim for more precise terms such as “heritage site,” “restrict visitor access” and “temporary closure for environmental recovery.” This will help express your ideas more clearly and formally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms are frequent, and some complex attempts are faulty. For example, “Tourism is one of the important key” has an article and number problem, while “A country got recognition” uses an unsuitable tense and “their hospitality” does not agree clearly with “a country.” The sentence “I do not agree that tourism damage…” also needs a correctly formed clause, such as “I do not agree that tourism’s damage … is often ignored.” The fragment “Because if you will not protect…” should be joined to a complete main clause. Practise accurate clause construction and subject–verb agreement before adding more complex structures.
