Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You express a generally positive view of tourism, supported by personal experience of visiting Naran and an aspiration to organise affordable trips. These examples show a relevant connection to tourism. However, the question specifically asks whether you agree that tourism’s harm to local cultures and the environment is often ignored. Your response only briefly mentions that the government is not serious about tourism development and that local culture and people are affected; it does not explain these harms or clearly state how far you agree. Much of the essay focuses instead on enjoying holidays and creating memories. To strengthen your response, state your position directly and develop relevant reasons, such as environmental pressure or changes to local customs, with specific examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into paragraphs, and phrases such as “In my opinion” and “on the conclusion” signal a viewpoint and ending. The personal account also gives the reader a basic sequence of ideas. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: the essay moves from personal holidays to a tour-company plan, then to government and cultural effects, without clear links explaining how these points answer the question. Several sentences repeat the idea that tourism is enjoyable, while the central issue of harm is not developed. Build a clearer structure: introduction with your position, separate paragraphs for reasons and examples, and a conclusion that restates your answer. Use linking phrases to show relationships between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “tourism,” “culture,” “government,” “holidays,” and “memories,” and you attempt to express ideas about domestic travel and affordability. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices that make parts of the message difficult to understand, such as “affort,” “hardels,” and “sposerned.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “In my state of mind” and “good feeling.” Aim to learn accurate topic vocabulary and common collocations, then check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “local communities,” “environmental damage,” and “tourism development” would help you discuss the task directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response relies mainly on short, simple statements, and there are attempts to connect ideas, for example, “There are many advantages in tourism and many disadvantages.” However, frequent errors in sentence formation, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes distort meaning. Examples include “Tourism is so important in your life,” “because tour refresh your mind,” and “these peoples they cannot affort.” Sentence fragments such as “In my state of mind” and “Explore culture and food” also interrupt the flow. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense and agreement. For example, “Tourism refreshes the mind” is clearer than “tour refresh your mind.”
