Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

Your position is stated clearly in the introduction: “I strongly agree,” and you attempt to discuss effects on both local culture and the environment. The points about visitors not following local customs, pressure on facilities, litter and forest fires are relevant, but they are difficult to understand and are not explained with clear examples or consequences. The conclusion repeats the prompt rather than summarising your reasons. The response also contains 174 words, so it is 76 words below the required minimum; 57 copied words from the task prompt were not counted. This leaves the argument substantially incomplete. To strengthen it, explain each main point in full and add a specific example showing how tourism harms a community or natural area.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to organise the discussion. However, the ideas do not progress clearly within the paragraphs: the first body paragraph moves from cultural practices to hotels and internet access without explaining their connection, while the second combines litter, housing and forest fires. Some linking phrases are used mechanically, and unclear references such as “this time” make relationships between points hard to follow. The conclusion repeats the opening rather than drawing the argument together. Give each paragraph one main focus, order its supporting details logically, and use linking words only where they clarify the relationship.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “local cultures,” “facilities,” “pollution” and “environment,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and many spelling and word-choice errors make ideas difficult to interpret, for example “cukturess,” “strongaly,” “pollustion” and “fake cultures.” Several phrases are also unnatural or unclear, such as “tourism are travelling by many countries” and “tourist had build a small houses.” Build a reliable set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling carefully. More precise phrases such as “local customs,” “pressure on infrastructure,” and “damage to natural habitats” would help you express your points clearly and appropriately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

You make an effort to form longer sentences and use clauses, including “I strongly agree with this idea because…” and “Furthermore, tourist had build…”. However, sentence structures are often incomplete or incorrectly formed, and errors frequently obscure the intended meaning. Examples include “tourism are travelling,” “many humans was shows,” and “tourist had build a small houses,” which show problems with subject–verb agreement, verb forms and singular/plural agreement. Some sentences also run several ideas together without clear grammatical connections. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then combine them using because, while and which. Check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and review tense and agreement before finishing.
