Student answer (Band 5.5)

In contemporary society, tourism has become a considerable debate.it is often argue that, global travel is one of the rapid progress factories and involved a fantasting agrement to proftability all over the globe. however, the erode toures can cause to local lifestyle and the ecosystem is commonly neglected. I firmly agree with this statment because the policies are not implent by the governments or the touriest places are open every time for visiting.

On one hand, tour the well nown places by holidaymakers is one of the quickest way for the progression of industrues and this rapic progress take part to stability of economic surrounding the world,on the othrhand outing activities can damage the local areas and the ecoenvironment is nglected because the lagislations are not set by the administrations, for example ,when visitors want to explore the northeran areas they pay the charges to the governments for acomodation rents.our government invest this cost into making industries but not set the rules against the envornment distarbance.visitire siomy visit the places by disturbing the vegitation, plucking the flowers,or spreade the waste material during their funs that cause pollution in that areas. as a result, the native peoples disturb by this behaviour that can cause negative impact on the environmet.

On the other hand, the visiting places are open every time for visitore visitors that can cause challegens to the local environment y.for example, there is no specific time to see the places, outsiders can easily explore the seneries at any time without having permissions by the government or the locall natives.they perform their activities without knowung the senstivity of the places.they use coal to make food that can cause pollution in that area that disturb the invasive species of the ecosystem. as a result, the nature would be disturb that can cause species loss from the specific area.

To sum up, no doubght the industries make a highest profit by tourism funds that stable the economy around the world but it affects the environment. admanistrations should make polices to avoid the noise pollution or adjust the specific days for travelling.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that tourism’s environmental and cultural costs are often overlooked, and you return to this view in the conclusion. The response addresses the economic benefit as well as environmental harm, with relevant examples such as littering, damaging vegetation, and using coal to cook. However, the two body paragraphs largely repeat the environmental argument, while the prompt’s concern about local cultures receives little direct development; the effect on “native peoples” is mentioned but not explained. Some reasoning is also unclear, particularly how tourism revenue is invested and why this leads to environmental damage. Develop the cultural impact with a specific example and explain the links between each cause and consequence more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help readers identify sections. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from economic growth to government investment, visitor behaviour and local effects without clearly connecting these points. The second paragraph repeats the idea of environmental harm rather than adding a distinct line of reasoning. Some linking phrases are used mechanically, and punctuation around sentence boundaries is inconsistent. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it in a clear sequence, using references that make the relationships between ideas explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “ecosystem,” “legislations,” “pollution,” “vegetation,” and “species loss,” which shows an effort to discuss tourism and environmental effects. However, frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices make parts of the argument difficult to understand, for example “fantasting agrement,” “rapic progress,” “ecoenvironment,” and “invasive species” where the intended meaning is unclear. Several phrases are also unnatural, such as “stability of economic surrounding the world” and “the native peoples disturb.” These issues fit a limited range with noticeable errors that sometimes strain the reader. Prioritise accurate, natural collocations and check spelling; for instance, use “economic growth,” “local residents are disturbed,” and “environmental damage.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “that,” as in “when visitors want to explore…” and “that can cause pollution.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, sentence boundaries and clause construction are often faulty, and some sentences contain several ideas joined without clear punctuation. Examples include “it is often argue that” and “the native peoples disturb by this behaviour,” where verb forms are incomplete, as well as “the visiting places are open every time… that can cause,” where the relationship between clauses is awkward. Capitalisation and comma use are also inconsistent. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and complete clauses, then divide long sentences so that each cause and result is expressed clearly.
