Student answer (Band 5.0)

in recent years tourism is one of the fastest growing industries and i agree it contribute a great deal to economies around the world. because of internet people now more about different places of world like mohonjodaro , harippa, islands, istanbul and many other points which are famous because of their histories, civilizations, unique food items etc. they interensed to explore world because when people visit some new place they record a short vedio and upload on internet , this vedios encourage others to visit that pklace and seen its beauty.

in our country , Pakistan Government pays special attention towards tourism. Government manage things more effeciently so the tourists feel easy and confort they comes to our land. they work on transportations , roads, hotels, security and other basic facilities with good food availability. so the people do not face any hurdles during their journey.

tourism contributes in world economy as when people come to your land discover things about your hospitality, culture, history and worth wachting places they tell about this to others when they return to their home country which increase interest in other person and they also want to visit it increase the number people globaly. they become eager to spend their money to come and seen your land. and the numers is increase money is atumatically increse which comes from the tourists. world comes to know about your special trends , civilaizations and nature of people which increase the understanding about your culture. so the tourism is one of the importanmt element of our economy.

some people observe that damage tourism can cause to local cultures and the environment is often ignored. but in my opnion in 2026 , the era of social media damage tourism is no matter enough because now there is is a new concept is found in younf generation that is "do different and become famous" after vedio goes viral. due to this trend they do not hasitate to bear pain of damage or mismanagement of tourism. therefore i do not thing so its a big deal.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You express a position that tourism benefits economies, and you give relevant examples involving Pakistan, employment-related facilities, and visitors sharing their experiences. However, the prompt asks whether you agree that tourism’s damage to local cultures and the environment is often ignored. Most of the essay explains tourism’s economic benefits, while the final paragraph dismisses the damage as “no matter enough” without explaining how social media prevents or reduces harm. Environmental effects and specific cultural impacts are not examined. This means the response addresses the issue only partially, and its central argument is not sufficiently supported. To strengthen it, state clearly whether you agree or disagree with the claim about damage, then develop reasons and examples focused directly on cultural and environmental consequences as well as any economic benefits.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response is divided into paragraphs, and there is a broad movement from tourism’s popularity to Pakistan’s facilities, economic benefits, and finally the opposing concern. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the first three paragraphs repeat the idea that visitors promote destinations and increase income, while the final paragraph introduces social-media trends without a clear link to the claim about environmental or cultural damage. Connectors such as “so,” “therefore,” and “and” are used repeatedly, sometimes joining several separate points into long sequences. Organise the essay around distinct reasons, use clearer links between claims and examples, and ensure each paragraph advances the response to the question rather than repeating economic benefits.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “hospitality,” “civilizations,” “transportations,” and “viral,” which helps communicate ideas about tourism and culture. The range is nevertheless limited and several word choices or spellings make the message difficult to follow, such as “worth wachting,” “interensed,” “numers,” and “atumatically.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “increase the number people globally” and “damage tourism can cause … is no matter enough.” These errors sometimes require the reader to infer your intended meaning. Build a more accurate set of expressions for discussing impacts, such as environmental pressure, cultural traditions, local communities, and visitor numbers, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the task’s central issue rather than relying mainly on general economic terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “when people visit some new place they record a short video and upload on internet.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “tourism … contribute,” “they comes,” and “the number is increase,” which show problems with subject–verb agreement and verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries are also often missing or unclear, as in “because of internet people now more about different places of world.” Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause at a time. Check agreement, tense, articles, and punctuation during revision.
