Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a position that tourism brings economic benefits but can harm local culture and the environment, and the Nepal examples make the response relevant to the question. However, the position is not fully clear: “I firmly perceive the forwarded view positively” does not specify how far you agree that damage is ignored. The body mainly describes Nepal’s attractions and economic value, while the harms are briefly asserted through examples of visitors taking medicinal plants and leaving rubbish. These points need explanation of how tourism causes cultural or environmental damage and why it is ignored. Develop both sides in relation to the question and state your degree of agreement directly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an introduction, a longer paragraph about tourism’s benefits, a paragraph mentioning harms, and a conclusion, so there is some overall organisation. The progression is weakened because the first body paragraph lists Nepal’s natural features and museums without clearly connecting each detail to the argument, while the shift to negative effects is abrupt. Linking expressions such as “To commence,” “Similarly,” and “Furthermore” are used, but some feel mechanical and do not always show the relationship between ideas. The conclusion repeats earlier claims rather than resolving the question. Use clearer topic sentences, group related examples, and explain each example before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “economical growth,” “traditions,” “natural beauties,” and “medicine plants,” and some choices show an effort to discuss culture and the environment. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make meaning less clear, such as “the forwarded view,” “accomodation of local traditional people,” and “the hidden recipe.” Spelling errors, including “percieve,” “challlenges,” and “intrestingly,” also reduce control. Aim for precise collocations and check word forms and spelling. For example, use “economic growth,” “local communities,” and “traditional knowledge” where these match your intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “as” and “which,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors occur frequently. For instance, “tourism … affords contributes” combines incompatible verb forms, and “Its natural beauties is” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Articles and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “the tourism” and the run-on sequence beginning “The circumstances around the places guide…”. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one clear main clause, then add a subordinate clause; check agreement, articles, verb forms, and punctuation during revision.
