Student answer (Band 4.5)

Tourism is the thing that contributes the largest in the country's economy. All the countries in this world have a best tourist place. People usually go their in vacations or on a special event to enjoy. Tourist places should also be very clean and eye-catching. So that they acn attract tourists. I partially agree with both statements.

According to my perspective, tourism affects the financially and economically too. It gives profit to the country without any of the spending. But, the country should have to increase their tourist spots to become more stable in tourism. For instance, if we place look in UAE they started to become high because of their petroleum but laterly, tourism changes everything. Most of the world, go to UAE to enjoy their vacations and celebrates big events. Due to it's cleanes and more impressing places.

Moreover, the damage tourism can cause to local cultures and environment is often ignored. The main thing that matters for a tourist after the eye-catching place is safety, cleaness and environment. Today Pakistan is facing more difficulties in this feild. Due to the fact that Pakistan has many tourist places but the main disadvantage is pollution and the dirty environment. People wanted to visit it but also due to the lack of resources they dont. Their is also another disadvantage that if the ratio of turits are increased then normal it also effects the country's financial condition and economy.

Taking everything into account, tourisms are fully free funded. We just have to make our turist places more beautiful and eye-catching. The main problem of facilities should also be solved.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both the economic benefits of tourism and its possible effects on the environment, and you give examples involving the UAE and Pakistan. However, the response only partially answers the question about the extent to which you agree or disagree. “I partially agree with both statements” is unclear because the task asks whether you agree that tourism’s cultural and environmental damage is often ignored; the essay does not explain your position on this claim consistently. The UAE example focuses on economic growth, while the Pakistan example mentions pollution but does not develop how tourism causes it or affects local culture. State a clear position and support it with specific cause-and-effect explanations and relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Moreover” and “Taking everything into account” help show the intended structure. However, the progression between ideas is not consistently clear. The first body paragraph moves from tourism’s economic benefits to the UAE without explaining the connection fully, and the Pakistan paragraph shifts from pollution to safety and then to an unclear claim about tourism affecting the economy. Some links are mechanical or confusing, such as “Due to it's cleanes and more impressing places,” which is left as a fragment. Organise each paragraph around one main point, explain how each example supports it, and use clear references and transitions to connect the reasoning.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “tourist spots,” “pollution,” “environment” and “financial condition,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or repetitive choices make meaning less clear. Phrases such as “tourism is the thing that contributes the largest,” “fully free funded” and “more impressing places” are not natural or precise in this context. There are also spelling errors, including “cleaness,” “feild,” “turits” and “tourist.” Aim for accurate collocations and a wider set of terms for economic benefits and environmental or cultural impacts. Proofread spelling, and choose words that express the intended relationship precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional example beginning “if the ratio of turits are increased,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in sentence construction, agreement and verb patterns. For example, “It gives profit to the country without any of the spending” has an unclear grammatical relationship, while “the country should have to increase their tourist spots” combines incompatible modal forms and has unclear agreement. “People usually go their in vacations” also contains errors in adverb and preposition use. Several fragments, such as “So that they acn attract tourists,” interrupt sentence flow. Practise complete clauses, consistent subject–verb agreement and accurate modal constructions, then check punctuation and sentence boundaries.
