Student answer (Band 5.5)
Tourism is one of the most important factor for any country for growing their economy. It has an impact for any countries growth. So nowadays tourism industries are growing so fast day by day. Though accprding to my thinkiung I agree with fact that, the damage tourism it can cause to local cultures and environment is often ignored.
To start with , if we see how tourism industries are growing and how it give big positive impact on the world. There are many tourist places around the world in different countries. There are many even samll cointries whos economy has grown just because of tourism. It can help a whole vcountry to have become rich even. But the fact is the tourist place should be maintained safe and environmentally safe. If it can not be maintained then it is difficult to keep this industry in good way. For example, In bangladesh they have the longest sea beach in the world. But the situation of coxs bazar are not enough good and safe beacuse the damaged of the environment. The administration does not look after about the situation even though the places become very dirty. Besides, the tourist are not feeling safe because the unwanted situation in the local areas, which are happening again and again. Thus, in recent scenerio the foreigh tourists are stopped to come coxs bazar like before.
On the other hand, The tourist places which are maintained properly they are growing very fastly and very impportantly the countries economy are growing. For example, Maldives has a great attraction for what it become one of the attractive tourist destination for the traveller. This country is smaller than bangladesh or many other south asian coutries. But it has very good environment as well as the lucrative activity and well maintained places for that the traveller are willing to come here again and again for their holiday. Additionally, the administration maintained perfect safety and good accomdation for the tourists as well as the local people are more welcoming and honest with the traveller. Thus, Maldives become the most attractive and traveller friendly tourist destination.
To sum up, toursim industries have a great impact to develop a country as from this industry it is quite possible to make their economical growth very fast. So the countries who have enough tourist spot they should pay extra attention to some important facor like ensuring safety for tourisy, clean the environment ,behave nicely as well as maintained a standard price for hotels and transportation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that tourism-related damage is often ignored, and you discuss both tourism’s economic benefits and the consequences of poor management. The Cox’s Bazar example is relevant and shows how environmental neglect and safety concerns can discourage visitors; the Maldives example provides a useful contrast. However, the response focuses more on whether destinations are maintained well and attract tourists than on the specific effects of tourism on local cultures. Cultural impacts are mentioned in the introduction but not developed with an example or explanation. To strengthen the response, explain how tourism can affect local customs, livelihoods, or traditions, and connect each example more directly to the question of ignored damage. Some ideas, particularly the Maldives discussion, need fuller development to support your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting examples, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “To start with,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the argument, and the examples are generally placed in relevant paragraphs. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes loose: the first body paragraph moves from economic benefits to environmental damage and safety without clearly linking each point. Some connections are mechanical or unclear, including “Thus” before the claim about foreign tourists stopping their visits. Improve cohesion by making the relationship between each example and your main argument explicit, and use pronouns and linking phrases carefully so references remain clear. A more focused sequence of claim, explanation, and example would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “economy,” “environment,” “tourist destination,” “accommodation,” and “safety.” There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “lucrative activity” and “welcoming.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts less natural, for example “fastly,” “scenerio,” “impportantly,” and “tourisy.” Some phrases are awkward or imprecise, such as “big positive impact” and “maintained perfect safety.” Aim to learn common collocations for tourism and environmental issues, and check spelling and word forms during revision. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish economic benefits from cultural and environmental costs.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If it can not be maintained then it is difficult to keep this industry in good way” and contrastive clauses beginning with “Though” and “But.” This shows some range, and the main message is usually understandable. However, some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms remain. For example, “one of the most important factor” needs a plural noun, while “the situation of coxs bazar are” has a subject–verb agreement problem. In “the tourist are not feeling safe,” the plural noun and verb form do not agree naturally. Review agreement, articles, and verb patterns, and punctuate sentence openings consistently. Building more accurate complex sentences will make your reasoning clearer.
