Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some peoples make a statement that tourism is one of the most profitable industry around the world while others have different opinion. This topic has increasingly important in today's world. In my standpoint i agree with statement that tourism is the key of growth in many poor countries because of its stunning natural beauty.

The main reason i agree with this view that tourism is the only way for physical activity that shows personal development and mental health. Largest revenue of different countries around the world comes from the tourists pockets. Tour within a country mostly effective for peoples who have small budget. Whenever peoples makes a tour a expenses on residence, resturant, shopping and treavelling to explore the beauty and local culture helps in finance in that area. Most of the markets and food corners are near to residence area to peoples get chance of shopping. If we talk about international trip it helps in economic growth of overall country. Starting from tickets, travelling, staying area, local shopping and taxes helps in the development of country. For example Pakistan earn 2.5 millions annually in the form of revenue from tourism.

The second reason is that with the tourism explore the world through culture, traditions and local food items. Visiters come to see places having variety of natural and man made scenes in the form of natural stunning landscapes, hilly mountains, of beautiful buildings, historical background and know the behaviour of local community.

In conclusion, i strongly agree that toursim is the growing industry in recent years for many countries, The reason is that it helps in development of local and international

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

Your position is stated clearly: “I agree” that tourism supports growth, and you give relevant economic examples, including spending on accommodation, shopping and travel, as well as the Pakistan revenue claim. However, the prompt asks whether damage to local cultures and the environment is often ignored, and your response does not discuss this central concern. Instead, it mainly explains tourism’s benefits and introduces personal development and mental health without developing their relevance. The cultural paragraph describes what visitors can see, but does not consider harm to local traditions or communities. To address the task more fully, discuss both the benefits and the potential costs, then explain how far you agree that those costs are overlooked.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The sequence from economic benefits to cultural experiences is understandable, and phrases such as “The main reason” and “The second reason” signal the organisation. However, progression is weakened by repeated or loosely connected points, particularly the long list of tourist expenses and the repeated references to development. Some links between ideas are unclear, as in “Most of the markets and food corners are near to residence area to peoples get chance of shopping.” The conclusion also ends abruptly and does not fully summarise the argument. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example directly to its main point, and ensure the final paragraph completes the response.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “revenue,” “economic growth,” “local culture,” “historical background” and “natural landscapes.” These choices help communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand, such as “tourists pockets,” “physical activity that shows personal development,” and “staying area.” Spelling errors, including “resturant,” “treavelling,” “Visiters” and “toursim,” also reduce clarity. Aim to use precise phrases for tourism’s economic and social effects, and check spelling carefully. Learning collocations such as “tourism generates income” and “places of accommodation” would make your ideas more natural and exact.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, for example, “Whenever peoples makes a tour…” and “If we talk about international trip it helps in economic growth of overall country.” However, these attempts often contain errors that make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include missing or incorrect articles (“the key of growth”), subject–verb agreement (“peoples makes”), and incomplete or awkward sentence structures (“The main reason i agree with this view that…”). The conclusion also contains a sentence fragment, ending with “it helps in development of local and international.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles and punctuation before submitting.
