Student answer (Band 5.0)
Tourism plays a part and parcel role in country's development. It is argued by individuals that tourist provide large amount of money for economic development while other believe that travellers affect local culture and environment. I strongly disagree with this statement because with the help of tourists they donates lakhs of money for country development.
To commence with, there are several reasons associated with it. The first and foremost point is, provide jobs. To explain it, for tourists, business man's construct hotels and restruents and give simpe jobs to local individuals like waiter and for cooking as a chef. Moreover, it not only creates more jobs but also increase in economic development of country. For example, in Taj Mehal, according to authority they arrange entrance tickets in some amount of cost and with the help of this money they construct new roads and hotels for international travellers.
Moving further, there are numerous benefits of international tourists. The most prominent point is, protect culture. To elaborate it, tourist can protect culture and nature like contribute some amount of money and aware local people. In addition, it provides money for local development. Therefore, government may protect nature attraction because they are valuable for tourist. It also create strong bond between different countries.
On the other hand, negative side cannot be ignored. To justify it, tourist may damage local culture and environment. Precise, traditional places can become overcrouded and more tourist may produce more waste. For instance, construction of hotels can damage natural habitates. However, it also change in culture and local people change their lifestyle for impressing tourist.
In conclusion, after taking all the aspects into consideration, I would like to emphasize thatit has some valid point. Although tourist also damage the environment and local or popular places but they also contribute large amount of money for development and provide jobs to local individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both the economic benefits of tourism and its possible harm, and your position is broadly that the benefits outweigh the damage. The jobs paragraph gives relevant examples, such as hotel and restaurant work, while the later paragraph acknowledges overcrowding, waste and habitat damage. However, the opening says “I strongly disagree” with the claim that damage is ignored, but the conclusion mainly weighs benefits against harms; this makes your exact response to the question unclear. Several points, including how tourism protects culture and how ticket revenue funds development, are asserted rather than explained or supported. State clearly whether you agree that damage is often ignored, then develop fewer reasons with specific explanation and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and harms, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To commence with,” “Moving further” and “On the other hand” help signal shifts between points. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, and the links between ideas are not always clear. For example, the paragraph beginning “Moving further” moves from protecting culture to local development and then international relations without explaining how these points connect. The conclusion also does not clearly resolve the position stated in the introduction. Use fewer formulaic transitions, organise each paragraph around one main claim, and use clear references to show how each example supports that claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “economic development,” “local culture,” “overcrowded” and “natural habitats,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making meaning less clear. Examples include “part and parcel role,” “tourist provide large amount of money,” “protect culture” and “for impressing tourist.” There are also spelling errors such as “restruents,” “simpe” and “overcrouded.” Aim for more precise phrases and check word forms and spelling. For instance, describe tourism as “contributing to economic growth” and say that visitors “can help preserve cultural sites” when that is the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a concession in “Although tourist also damage the environment…” and an example introduced with “For example.” However, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “tourist provide” and “it also create”; articles and plurals are also missing or incorrect in phrases such as “in country's development” and “large amount of money.” The sentence “The first and foremost point is, provide jobs” is incomplete, while “Although…” in the conclusion is not joined to a complete main clause. Practise complete sentence patterns, agreement, articles and plural forms, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
