Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the modren era, tourism plays a part and parcel role in countrie's development. It is argued that the tourism is benefical for economic growth of nation. While, it also believe the damage touriem cause to local culture and the evironment is often ignoresd. I degree with it due to some extent i discuss my point of view in the upcoming paragraph.

To start with, there are many reasons associated with it. The first and foremost point is increase in employment. To explain this, when on the tourist place the tourism come to explore. So they often need to carry guide for the deeply knowledge about the place. Additionaly, the shops near the tourism place also make benefits by selling the products to them in huge quantity. For example, in India when tourism come from foreign country to explore Taj mahal, so it make benefit to the locally shops and restaurants. Moreover, the another point is economy boost. To justify this, when tourism came they spend a lot on staying, eating and also on travling in another country so tax from the locally shops directly go authorites which also lead to the better infrastruture near to the torisum place.

Moving further, it also ragulate the understanding between borders. To precise this, if the tourism from another country come to India for exploring the historical buildings and other places which are famous for bagpackers and when the masses go outside to the India for duing the same kind of thing, So it often strong bond between different countries. Furthermore, the next point is exchange in culture. To eloborate this, if people from foreign coutry stay localy in India for exploring so the may follow the tradition and culture and also share their own culture. For instance, in Punajb, the tourism came and explore the tradition also follow it, such as the woman from america try to wear punjabi suit.

On the other hand, the negative point can not be ignored that is difficulties for locals. To explain this, the people which live near to the tourim place they spend more for the cheap products beacuse they have to spend according the tourism pay. For example, the water bottel which is around 20 rupee they also regulate 50 rupees of that from tourism and due to that the locally living people paid more.

In conclusion, although the numerous point is that the tourism contribute in economy and also benefit for job seeker. However, it alos make problems for local one.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a position that tourism brings economic and cultural benefits, while acknowledging that it can make life more difficult for local residents. The examples about jobs, spending around the Taj Mahal, and the price of water are relevant to the topic. However, the prompt specifically asks whether you agree that damage to local cultures and the environment is often ignored, and your response mainly lists tourism’s benefits rather than explaining how far you agree with that claim. Environmental damage is not discussed, and the conclusion does not clarify your extent of agreement. Develop both the harms and benefits, then state a consistent position and support it with specific explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To start with” and “On the other hand” help identify shifts. However, the overall progression is not always clear: the first two body paragraphs develop benefits, while the single counterpoint about local prices is brief and does not connect clearly to the question of ignored cultural and environmental damage. Several linking phrases are mechanical or awkward, including “To justify this” and “Moving further.” Some sentences also combine several ideas without clear relationships. Organise the essay around a clear argument, use topic sentences that directly support it, and make links between examples and claims explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “employment,” “infrastructure,” “tradition,” and “exchange in culture,” and you use examples to convey ideas about tourism. However, the range is limited and many word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “part and parcel role,” “carry guide for the deeply knowledge,” and “regulate the understanding between borders” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “evironment,” “travling,” and “infrastruture” are also noticeable. Build a more accurate set of tourism-related expressions and check spelling; for example, use “create employment,” “hire a knowledgeable guide,” and “promote understanding between countries.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional examples and clauses introduced by “when” and “if.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation can make the argument hard to follow. For example, “While, it also believe” lacks a clear subject and has an incorrect verb form, while “when tourism came they spend” shifts tense inconsistently. In “the tourism from another country come,” the subject and verb do not agree. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense consistency and article use. Shorter, accurate sentences would make your ideas easier to understand.
