Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state agreement in the introduction and repeat this position in the conclusion, so your viewpoint is identifiable. However, the response does not adequately answer the central issue of whether tourism’s harm to local cultures and the environment is ignored. Most of the body discusses tourism’s attractions and pollution-prevention measures, while the effects on local cultures are mentioned without explanation or an example. The Jhelum visit illustrates natural beauty, but does not support your argument about damage or economic benefits. The response is also 33 words below the 250-word minimum; the 49 words copied from the task prompt are excluded from the count. Develop relevant reasons and examples, especially showing how tourism affects communities and the environment, to address the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs beginning with “To begin with” and “Moreover,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader recognise the stages of your response. However, the ideas within paragraphs do not progress clearly. The first body paragraph moves from tourism’s benefits to pollution, then to proposed solutions, without explaining how these points support your position. The second paragraph focuses on a personal visit and natural scenery, which is not clearly linked to the claim about ignored damage. Some sentences repeat similar points about exploring nature. Organise each paragraph around one relevant claim, explain its connection to the question, and use clearer links between examples and your argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “air pollution,” “water pollution,” “local cultures,” and “electric vehicles,” which makes the general subject understandable. There are also attempts to describe a personal example with phrases such as “the beauty of nature.” However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, and several spelling errors reduce accuracy, including “contrubutes,” “trvavelling,” and “environent.” Phrases such as “travelling technique” and “cause to local cultures” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Choose more precise terms for tourism’s effects, such as environmental damage or pressure on local traditions, and check spelling and collocations. This would make your ideas clearer and give you more flexibility in discussing the topic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Your response includes simple statements and some attempts to connect ideas, for example, “I agree that tourism…” and “because peoples want to explore…”. The main message is generally recoverable, but sentence structures are mostly simple, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and punctuation occur throughout. For instance, “one of the most fastest growing industry” has problems with the superlative and singular/plural agreement, while “I visit last month” does not use the appropriate past-tense form. “Peoples want” also shows an agreement and plural-form problem. Several sentences run together or lack spaces after punctuation, making them harder to follow. Practise accurate past-tense sentences and use a wider range of controlled structures, including clear complex sentences.
