Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent time, the increasing number of tourism has been surgue rapidly and become one of the fastest growing bussiness and also helps to increase natioanl economical growth. However, some believe that tourism is extremly danger to the local community of that country and also cause to the environment which oftenly ignored by individuals and the government. I strongly disagree with this statement and tourism is not harmfull for environment and for local culture.
However, the increasing number of tousim across the globe has been increasing rapidly. Also, for many nation in the world tourist is the main souce of income for the government as well as for their local community. Moreover, countries such as UAE, Italy, and many others country economy depend heavily on tourism. For instance, the government also heavily investing in tourist places such as historical heritage, musiums and vintage places, which create economical growth and also support local businesses.
Regarding the ignoring side, I totally disagree with this statement, because tourism are provided jobs and many economical benefits to the country as well as the bussinesses, also tourist spend lage amount of money to purchace the goods from foreign counrties that can benefits both of them. For example, bali is one of the most popular tourist destination and their environmnet is consider best in the world for business and for peoples, also local community are largly depend on toursim.
In conculsion, the increasing number of tourist in many nations are very beneficial to the economy, and i strongly disagee that tousrist are damaging the environment and destroying thr local cultural. In fact tousit can create that country name stronger in tousim index and generate wealth for their local people and government.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you strongly disagree that tourism’s harm to local cultures and the environment is ignored. You give relevant economic points, including tourism income, investment in heritage sites and support for local businesses, with examples such as the UAE, Italy and Bali. However, the response addresses the prompt only partially because it focuses on economic benefits rather than directly examining whether tourism damages local cultures and the environment or whether those effects are overlooked. The claim that Bali’s environment is “consider[ed] best in the world” does not explain or substantiate this point. Develop both sides of the issue by acknowledging specific harms, then explain why you believe they are limited, managed or outweighed by benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main position is repeated at the end. Some linking expressions, such as “Moreover,” “For instance” and “In conclusion,” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is limited because both body paragraphs largely repeat the economic-benefit argument, while the prompt’s environmental and cultural concerns are not developed as distinct points. “However” begins a paragraph that mostly continues the previous idea, so the relationship is unclear. References such as “this statement” and “both of them” are also not always precise. Give each paragraph a clear purpose and connect examples directly to the claim they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “historical heritage,” “local community,” “economical growth” and “generate wealth.” These choices show an effort to discuss tourism and its effects, but the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the response difficult to interpret. Examples include “the increasing number of tourism,” “tourism are provided jobs” and “stronger in tourism index.” Frequent spelling errors, such as “surgue,” “bussiness” and “environmnet,” also reduce clarity. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling carefully. Prefer precise expressions such as “the number of tourists,” “creates employment” and “rank higher in tourism rankings.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some attempts at longer sentences, for example the sentence beginning “Moreover, countries such as UAE, Italy…” and the sentence explaining tourism’s benefits. However, the range of structures is limited, and attempts to combine several ideas often produce faulty sentences. There are frequent problems with agreement and verb forms: “tourism are provided jobs,” “local community are” and “tourist is the main source” do not consistently match singular and plural subjects. Articles and sentence construction are also unreliable, as in “the increasing number of tourism has been surgue rapidly.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build longer sentences around one clear main clause.
