Student answer (Band 5.5)
Tourism is the most effectively developing industries and provides a higher benefit to the finance over the globe but, the unmanaged tourism leads to the issues to local culture and surrounding is not well taken care. I completely agree with this statement because tourism plays a vital role in developing nations and somehow it is affecting the natural surroundings of our country due to the ignoring of cleanness.
To begin with, there are serveral reasons of tourism helping in economic condition. The first reason is source of income. To explain, due to the visit of tourists in our country and provides economic support by exploring different palces and from that we generates income for the other development of nation. Similarly, the another reason is identity of our country is knowing by other nations. Elaborating further, many tourists is coming and visting our palces and they are talking with others and from that every other people also know about our countries.
On the other hand, there are also various reason why hampering our local cultures and surrounding is ignored. Firstly, people want to follow western culture by watching visitors. For instance, people are getting influnced by the culture of others and forgetting our local cultures. Secondly, environment damage is being ignored. To clarify, people are only into wealth and forgetting from where they are generating it and not cleaning and managing properly after tourist exploration.
In conclusion, tourism is the main source of income and we should protect our nations place by properly taking care of it after every visit and must be able to keep it clean while, tourists sre visiting it to make a great imperssion of them and inviting more and more visitors to look over our country's beautiful places.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you say you “completely agree” that tourism’s economic benefits can come with harm to culture and the environment. You address both sides of the issue, giving economic benefits such as income and international recognition, then discussing cultural influence and environmental neglect. However, the response does not fully develop the extent of your agreement: the opening emphasises tourism’s benefits, while the conclusion mainly recommends keeping places clean. The supporting points are also broad. For example, explain how tourism creates income or give a specific example of a cultural practice or environmental impact, then connect it directly to your view. This would make the argument more complete and better supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting points, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and some links do not clearly show how one idea leads to the next. For instance, the point about tourists spreading awareness of the country is introduced as a second economic benefit, but its connection to the argument could be made more explicit. References such as “it” and “from that” are also unclear in places. Use more precise links between claims and explanations, and ensure each paragraph develops one central idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “source of income,” “local cultures,” “natural surroundings,” and “environment damage,” so the reader can identify the main themes. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “the most effectively developing industries,” “higher benefit to the finance,” and “identity of our country is knowing by other nations.” Spelling errors such as “serveral,” “palces,” and “influnced” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural, precise phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, describe tourism as a “rapidly growing industry” that “contributes significantly to national economies,” and use “raises awareness of the country” for the point about international recognition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including explanations introduced by “To explain” and “To clarify,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction can make the reader work to understand your points. For example, “many tourists is coming” should use a plural verb, while “from that we generates income” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. In “the another reason is identity of our country is knowing,” the sentence structure and verb form are also unclear. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected explanation, then check agreement and verb forms before adding complexity.
