Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. Because the response is only 84 words, the information is severely underdeveloped. While you have attempted to identify some trends, such as the high percentage of male licence holders in the 50-59 age group in 2006, the analysis is fragmented and lacks the necessary detail to provide a comprehensive summary of the data. You have not made sufficient comparisons between the two years or between the sexes, and the lack of length prevents a full coverage of the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response lacks a clear logical structure. While there is an attempt at an introduction and a brief overview, the paragraphs are not well-developed, and the transition between ideas is disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is limited and often misused, such as 'on the own hand,' which is an incorrect idiomatic expression. The lack of sufficient content makes it difficult to establish a coherent progression of information. To improve, you should focus on grouping related data points together and using clearer linking words to guide the reader through your analysis.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'ratio of population asset' instead of 'proportion of the population holding,' and 'less number of woman' instead of 'a smaller number of women.' The phrasing is often unnatural, which hinders the clarity of your report. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'proportion,' 'fluctuation,' 'significant,' and 'trend,' and ensure that you use these terms in the correct grammatical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('man are utilize'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. The sentence structures are simple and often contain errors that impede the flow of information. For example, '17-20 age group of young man are less uses of the car driving licence' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that you are using the correct tense when describing historical data.
