Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which negatively impacts the score. While you attempt to identify some trends, the summary is fragmented and lacks a clear, cohesive overview of the main features. You mention specific data points, but the lack of clarity in describing the trends (e.g., 'some type of lowest') makes it difficult to follow the comparison between men and women. To improve, ensure you clearly state the overall trends first and then group the data logically by age or time period rather than listing isolated figures.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a logical progression of ideas. Paragraphing is present but does not effectively separate the introduction, overview, and body details. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and often misused, such as 'Further more' and 'In 30-39 of both same yare'. The referencing is frequently unclear, making it difficult for the reader to understand which data point relates to which age group or year. Improving the use of linking words like 'whereas', 'in contrast', and 'subsequently' would help create a better flow between sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, often relying on basic descriptors. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'middale' for middle, 'flucation' for fluctuation, and 'picked' for peak. The phrasing 'ratio of human holding complete driving licences' is unnatural. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'significant', 'trend', and 'dramatic', and ensure that you use these terms accurately in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'most of highest graph in men'). Many sentences are fragmented or lack necessary verbs, making the text difficult to parse. There is very little evidence of complex sentence structures, and the errors in basic grammar are persistent throughout the text. Focusing on basic sentence construction—ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb—is essential before attempting more complex structures.
