Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, reaching only 90 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While you have identified the main topic, the analysis is severely underdeveloped. You have not provided a comprehensive summary of the data, failing to describe the trends for all age groups or make meaningful comparisons between the two time periods. The lack of sufficient detail and the incomplete nature of the report significantly impact the score. To improve, you must ensure all parts of the prompt are addressed with sufficient data points and a clear, structured overview.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into short paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak due to the lack of content. Cohesive devices are used in a very basic and sometimes inaccurate manner, such as the abrupt transition 'but the women has a loe number'. The referencing is unclear, and the overall structure feels fragmented. To improve, you should use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'furthermore', 'consequently') to connect your ideas more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear focus that contributes to the overall summary.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to describe the data precisely. Phrases like 'mostly more men were having' and 'not much to hold' are unnatural and imprecise. There are also spelling errors, such as 'loe' instead of 'low'. You need to use more academic vocabulary related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'significant increase', 'fluctuated', or 'remained stable'. Expanding your range of descriptive verbs and nouns will help you convey information more effectively and professionally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'mostly more men were having driving licences' (incorrect verb tense/structure), 'in modern era' (missing article), and 'the women has a loe number' (subject-verb agreement error). The range of sentence structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and attempting more complex sentence structures, such as using relative clauses or subordinating conjunctions to combine ideas.
