Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement score. While you have identified some main features, such as the peak age ranges for driving licenses and the comparison between 1975-76 and 2006, the analysis is somewhat superficial. The data is not fully exploited, and there are inaccuracies in the reporting of figures (e.g., mentioning '2000' when the data is for 2006). To improve, ensure you cover all key trends and provide a more comprehensive overview of the data provided in the graphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate, such as the use of 'Whereas' at the start of a sentence to connect unrelated points. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the final paragraph where the transition between the 1975-76 and 2006 data is confusing. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall flow and logical progression of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision required for higher bands. There are several awkward word choices, such as 'holding license memberships' and 'bottomed out', which are not appropriate in this context. Additionally, there are minor errors in word formation, such as 'maximun' instead of 'maximum'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'fluctuated', or 'peaked', and ensure that your collocations are natural and accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('male percentages reached its highest') and awkward phrasing ('reached to almost 80%'). There are also errors in tense usage and prepositional phrases. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound.
