Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarize the data but fails to provide a clear overview or highlight the most significant trends. While it identifies that men generally hold more licenses than women, the description of the data is fragmented and lacks a cohesive summary of the main features. Several figures are cited, but the reporting is often inaccurate or confusing (e.g., mentioning '1975 and 76' when the graph likely refers to a single year, and listing multiple age groups in a way that is difficult to follow). The response lacks a clear comparison between the two years provided (1975/76 vs 2006), which is essential for a complete task response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes incorrect (e.g., 'Then the age group between 21 to 39 reach at 81 same age group Women reach 42 percent'). The referencing is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between age groups and years. The structure lacks a clear introduction and a concluding summary, which hinders the overall flow of information.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'Men's of age 17 to 20' instead of 'men aged 17 to 20' and 'drastically change in the comparison'. The student relies on basic terminology and struggles to use precise language to describe trends or statistical data. Some phrases are awkward, such as 'dominating it by the starting from 39 percent', which impedes the clarity of the message. A wider range of vocabulary related to data description is needed.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'The graph have two potion'), pluralization (e.g., 'Men's of age'), and preposition usage (e.g., 'reached at 81'). The sentence structures are largely simple or repetitive, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. These errors are frequent and represent a significant barrier to the reader's understanding of the data.
