The graphs below show the percentage of people holding full driving licences in Great Britain by age and sex.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The graphs illustrate the percentage of full car driving licence holders by age and gender.

Overall, it is evident that men accounted for the highest figure whereas women experienced a lower number of holding a full car driving licence in the years 1975/76 and 2016.

Regarding the percentage of men at the age 50-59 stood at the highest percentage of nearly 90% in 2016, and a slightly lesser number of 70% was shown in 1975/76. Meanwhile, the 40-49 aged group experienced approximately 80% in 1975/76 and slightly increased to above 80% in 2016; the 30-39 aged group showed almost the same figure of nearly 80% in the respective years. In addition, the 21-29 aged group showed a greater number of car driving licence which was roughly 80% in 1975/76 as compared to the lowest proportion of 75% in 2016, whereas the teenager groups represent an almost stable percentage of around 40% in both of the years. Finally, the 70 and over age group accounted for around 40% in 1975/76 and increased dramatically to 80% by 2016.

Turning to the categories of the women, the 50-59 age of women registered almost 20% in 1974/75, which soared to nearly 80% in 2016, while the 40-49 age group was 40% in 1975/76 and reached the highest figure of 80% in 2016; 30-39 accounted for 45% before proliferating to approximately 80% in 2016. Likewise, 21-29 were 40% in 1975/76 and rose to above 60% in 2016. In contrast, 17-20 registered a 20% in 1975/76 and above 20% in 2016.
