Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the data, identifying the general increase in license holders and the age-related trends. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you mention that 40-60 year olds are the highest, you do not provide specific data points to support this, nor do you effectively contrast the magnitude of the increase between genders. The overview is present but lacks precision. To reach a higher band, ensure you select key data points (e.g., specific percentages) to illustrate your comparisons rather than relying on general descriptions like 'remarkable boost'.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the overview. You use some cohesive devices such as 'While', 'At start', and 'Overall'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'At start' instead of 'Initially'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect the data points more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You use basic descriptors like 'slight increase' and 'remarkable boost'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'both sex' (should be 'both sexes') and 'less in numbers' (should be 'fewer in number'). To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to data description, such as 'a significant upward trend' or 'a marginal rise'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('male of all age groups shows', 'graph demonstrate') and article usage ('the interest of driving car'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
