Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the ability to cover all parts of the task. While you have identified the main trends, the response is incomplete and cuts off mid-sentence. To achieve a higher band, you must provide a full summary that includes data comparisons across all age groups and both years. Currently, the analysis is too brief to fully address the prompt, leading to an underdeveloped response that fails to provide a comprehensive overview of the provided data.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response shows some attempt at logical organization, using an introductory sentence and an overview. However, because the text is incomplete, the overall progression is interrupted. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover' and 'In terms of' are used, but the lack of a full structure makes it difficult to assess your ability to manage cohesion effectively. To improve, ensure you complete your thoughts and use a wider variety of linking words to connect your comparisons between the two years and the different age groups.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, with terms like 'illustrates', 'percentages', and 'licence holders'. However, there are some inaccuracies, such as 'male aging 50-59' (should be 'males aged') and 'making it ratio among others' (which is unclear). The range is limited due to the short length of the response. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology for describing trends, such as 'proportion', 'fluctuated', or 'remained stable', and ensure your word choices are grammatically accurate within the sentence structure.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are several grammatical errors that affect clarity, such as 'men holds' (subject-verb agreement) and 'represented largest group' (missing article). The sentence structures are relatively simple. While you have attempted to use some complex structures, the errors in basic grammar and the incomplete nature of the text limit the assessment. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Ensure that you proofread your work to catch these minor slips, which will help improve the overall accuracy of your writing.
