The graphs below show the percentage of people holding full driving licences in Great Britain by age and sex.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two bar charts illustrate the proportion of people holding full car driving licences in Great Britain by their age and sex.

Overall, there are more men than women who had driving licences in 1975/76 and 2006. Meanwhile, ages 40-69 have the most number of licenses in both categories.

In 1975/76, there was a huge difference in the registered share of licenses between men and women. At the start age of adulthood, 30-39 years old, counted as peak for the both communities with just above 80 percent. Women, by contrast, have two times less than men with around 40%. Lastly, 70 and over years olds hit the bottom of all time with slightly less than 40% for men and nearly 0%.

Later, mostly all age groups witnessed an upward trend except 21-29 years olds for male. The 50-59 age male group has the highest score for the period with practically less than 100%. For females, the decade younger group has the highest proportion for them, approximately 80%.
