The graphs below show the percentage of people holding full driving licences in Great Britain by age and sex.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The two bar graphs illustrate the the driving licences hold by people in Great Britain dividened by different age starting from 17 to upto 70 and sex.

Overall, men in Great Britain from year 1975 to 2006 hold more driving licences by age until 70 and over 70. In Contrast, the women driving licences holders are more in percentage from start than men and in age 70 or above 70 the capita is decresed.

The women licence holders in 1970 got a highest rank peaking the overall 50 percentage. And 80 percent women licence holders are with age 40-49. From graph it can be seen after 49 years, the women licence holders are decreased throughout the 70 and over age. But, the men licence holders start from age 21-29 and peaking the percentage upto 90 till age 60-69.

The men full car driving licence holders in 1975 started from less percentage than women and has a growth reaching the peak upto 85 of age 30-39. In 2006, the licence holders with age 50-59 reach the maximum percentage of 90. However, the women in this age faced a decline in holding the full car driving licence.
