The graphs below show the percentage of people holding full driving licences in Great Britain by age and sex.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Full car driving licence holders: by sex and age

Student answer (Band 4.0)

The given graphs present the information about the people have driving licences in Great Britain by age ans sex in the year 1975/76 and 2006. The data is in percentage.

By looking at the graphs, it show that the women driving license was at its peak in the age between 40-49 in the year 2006. Whereas men have more licenses between the age 50-59 in the year 2006. Moreover, Women's driving licence 35% between the age 17-20. However, it grew rapidly. As well as, it jumped from 35% to 80%. However, it declined significantly after the age 49. In addition, it reached 35% from 80%.

In the year 1975 and 1976, it increased marginally till the age 30 to 39. Whereas, it dropped abruptly and jumped 5% from 50%.

Further looking at the graphs, it can be noticed that in the year 2006 the driving licence have men are rose and stay constant. The drop is only seen in the age of 17 to 20 and over the 70.

Moreover, the percentage of driving licence has increased the age of 39 then it fell gradually and jumped to 39% from 82%.

After analysing the graphs it can be said that the

men have high precentage of driving licence as compared to women in the the given year.
