The graphs below show the percentage of people holding full driving licences in Great Britain by age and sex.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The graphs compare the proportion of people holding full driving licences in Great Britain by age and sex differences.

Overall, people from 30 to 69 had contained license, whereas few elderly people had license. 17-20 aged teenagers had minor portion to had a driving licence.

Nearly 90% of 40-49 aged male contained driving licence, whereas female ratio was 80% in 2006, compare with 82% and 38% in 1976. Under 40% men had driving license in 1976 and 2006, whereas female ratio was 20% and 35%, respectively in both years.

People from 21-29, 30-39 groups had minor changes in terms of licence. Very few 70 over females had license in their 1960's, which was 30% by 2006. Men accounted for 35% and 75%, respectively in 1976 and 2006. Nearly 60% of 60-69 aged men and 15% female had licence in 1960, while this figure change to 80% and 65% by 2006.
